I watched two more episodes of Digimon yesterday. TK plays with Puppetmon, and a tree turns Matt evil.
Okay, now evil Matt is very cool - especially with his new evil voice in which he so evilly says, "No, Tai. I won't." But... a tree? Dude. That's just not right.
Especially a tree that doesn't even last five seconds against Puppetmon later on.
Oh well. The next episode is definitely one of my favorites! Matt and Tai fight! If only my DVDs would get here, I could watch it in japanese, too. Bah...
Anyway, I'll settle for the next best thing, which is to write a parody about it.
Digimon: Episode 45
Matt: I'm evil. FIGHT ME TAI!
Tai: No, fighting is wrong... okay, fine, you've convinced me, let's go!
Mimi: This is BAD.
Sora: You think?
Kari: Hmm... older brother locked in a dangerous battle with a good friend... strange voice coming out of nowhere... it is clear where my priorities should lie. *goes wandering off after the voice*
Izzy: Well, I have no doubt how this fight will end up... *goes after her*
Kari: Here, strange voice - take my crest. I won't need it at all. And hey - there's a chance you might NOT be evil!
Everyone ends up flying in the sky and Matt and Tai are prevented from fighting each other.
Tai: I would've won.
Kari (aka, strange voice): You kids can't do anything without help, can you? Here's a bunch of past images that won't make any sense until I explain them.
We see a bunch of meaningless stuff and some stuff that has meaning. Very, very interesting.
Kari (strange voice): See, you idiots? You need to work together or you're all going to DIE!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! *cough*
Izzy: Um... couldn't you have just *told* us all of this instead of showing a bunch of stuff where the evil guys disrupt everything?
Kari (strange voice): No. We needed to waste time so this episode could be filled up. Otherwise we would've had to have more still shots and dramatic footage of Matt and Tai fighting for the fifteen minutes left. And this isn't DragonBall Z, damnit!
Tai: Oh, okay. Well, Matt, we need to work together. Besides, we both know I would've won anyway.
Matt: What? Screw you! I'm going off on my OWN!
Mimi: Me too... No one's paying attention to my whining any more. Maybe this will help.
Joe: Well, since we're all splitting up anyway, I'm wimping out too - I mean... I want to keep Mimi safe. Yes, that's it.
Tai: Damn. Well, at least YOU guys still love me, right? *glances around at the others*
Sora: ...
Izzy: ...
Kari: ... *awkward cough*
TK: Sure! We love ya, Tai! *buries his face in Tai's crotch to emphasize this*
Tai: *oblivious* Excellent! Let's go!
Others: *sigh*
As if you needed more proof that I'm a moron...

I do love those episodes. (I personally, am rather fond of Cherrymon. So sue me, it's a big, gay talking tree. I like him!
*laughs at paraody* And that! Hehehehehe!

I actually got hooked on the show because I was looking for something to watch during the commercials for Redwall, and the Sea Sick and Tired episode was on... I ended up watching it instead. I'd already seen clips of this show - a bit from the first episode, and the ending of 'It's All in the Cards'. They were showing re-runs on a different channel, so the first episode I actually watched all the way through was that one where Mimi's digimon goes to ultimate for the first time. The Trash Day episode eneded up being the first one I got on tape, though.
Matt's evil! He was so cool! And Digimon was my first encounter with yaoi. A Taito fic, as I recall.
I have nothing against Cherrymon himself. I just think it's amusing that a talking tree turned Matt against Tai. It just sounds funny. ^_^
