I had an interesting night at work last night.
First, I kept getting calls that *had* to be pranks. There's a person who has been calling us asking for us to drop off clothes... they called again today. They always refuse to give a name or number, because "we're going to blackmail them". This time they gave the name Richard Simmons.
Riiiight.
Then I got two calls from a little girl who wanted us to find mommy's pink dress. What's her phone number? She doesn't know. What's her last name? She can't remember. But it's pink. Go look for it.
Uh-huh.
Then some girl called while I was helping a customer. I asked if she'd hold - no, she wouldn't. Okay, what does she want? For me to find it. Find what? Find IT. Again, it's pink. Okay, I'm sorry, lady, I have a customer. And she says, "No you don't."
I hung up.
I didn't get any more prank calls after that, but later that night a couple came in with a really creepy-looking guy on their tail, and asked me to call the police because he was following them. Apparently, he'd attacked them earlier, too.
So the police ended up coming to McCleaner's.
The guy ran away when I called the cops, but he walked right by the store again five minutes later. That was before the police showed up, though, and he didn't come back after that.
Anyway, it was interesting.
