(no subject)

I can't believe I'm cold... For crying out loud, I've been dying from the heat all summer! But there's a breeze coming in through the window by the computer, and it's making me cold. Sheesh!

Oh well... It's a nice change.

I got a late birthday card in the mail from my grandmother, and it had a hundred dollar check. Score! Thanks grandma! I think I might order a couple more Digimon videos now that I have extra money... hehehe... Finally, I will get to see the rugged camping men scenes in japanese. Mwaha! Except for the scenes in the last episode, but I already have those saved on my computer, so that's okay.

Yay!

I also worked last night, which wasn't actually that bad. I didn't have too many people in there, and there was plenty of time to get everything done. Excellent.

I work again tonight... but I have Sunday off! I hate working Sundays, and I normally work every single one, so this is definitely good news.

I'll probably work on either my new series fic or a one-shot I'm hoping to add a lemon scene to. (and we'll just see how that goes, hm?)

More fire...

Kelowna is experiencing a disaster right now... There's fire *in* the city at the moment. About 200 homes have burned to the ground, and something like 30,000 people have been evacuated. My cousin and her family are staying with my aunt because of it. It's really crazy... and they don't have it contained at all. There is also a wind out there right now which is not helping at all. Even though the weather is cooling down.

Shit.

I keep thinking how close the Strawberry Hill fire was to our city... It could just as easily have been us. I can't imagine losing our house to a fire - but people in Kelowna have lost theirs. Living in a reasonably sized city hasn't saved them.

I hope we get rain sometime soon. We need it.
