Heh... so, yeah, I have a paid account now for six months. This means more icons. I've put up some of the ones I have at GreatestJournal and will probably attempt to use each of them at least once. And then probably make more, too. Yay!

A million times thank you to the person who gave me the paid time! I don't know who you are, but I love you!

Anyway.

Yesterday I had Sarah over and we watched a bunch of Slayers Try and Fullmetal Alchemist. Both awesome shows. I've decided that Zelgadis is my favorite character in Slayers. He is very cool.

We're gonna do the anime viewing thing again next Sunday, so it's all good. Sarah also ordered Slayers Next, so we'll have plenty to watch for quite a while.

Excellent.

I also watched episode 44 of FMA this morning.

Okay, first off, Ed's original reaction to Hohenheim was about what I'd expected. Al's bold-faced desertion, though, was totally *unexpected*! He practically went and chose his father over his brother! Dude! The look on Ed's face made me want to cry.

Poor baby.

Reaction to Hughes' death was about what I'd expect, and in this case neither Ed nor Al surprised me. I had a feeling they'd have to hear it from someone other than Mustang - and I knew Ed, at least, would hate him for not telling them immediately. The fact that everyone else can accept it - even Al - makes Ed seem more irrational, although you can tell he understands, even if he doesn't want to admit it.

I noticed he's more than a little hypocritical. In episode 14, he tells Al that getting revenge shouldn't be important, that he should just live and be happy. And now he's pissed off at Mustang for choosing to move forward - which is what Hughes would've wanted anyway, no doubt - instead of getting revenge.

It seems the *theory* is sound in his head, but he has trouble when it's put into practice in a situation he has a personal view on. Either that or further experiences have changed his opinion, which I guess is also possible.

I'm interested to see how the fight between Dante and Hohenheim will turn out, although I'm about 99.9% sure that Dante will win and Hohenheim will die. After all, there are still six or seven episodes left in the series.

For the record, I totally called the whole Dante thing. Just ask [livejournal.com profile] ladycosmos. I didn't know she was rotting, though. Ew.

Anyway, very nice episode. I enjoyed.
