I've been listening to this song a lot lately... It's pretty. Very slow, but very nice. This anime has great music.

I never got as attached to the characters as I did with some shows, though... I don't know. I think it lacks a little in character-development. Not to say it's *bad*, but while I'm getting a great emotional sense from these people, I don't feel like I know them as well as some characters.

Maybe my standards have just been raised since shows like Hikaru no Go and Fullmetal Alchemist. Weiss had characters that were sort of angst-defined, too, and I liked that one well enough.

Ah well. Gundam Seed is a good anime. I'd recommend it, if you can work out after about nine or ten eps who everyone is that they introduce in the first couple of episodes. I was totally lost for the first bit; for a long time, the only names I really knew were Athrun and Kira.

But it all worked out.

At my evening class last night, my instructor had lost his voice, so we only had class for an hour instead of three hours. Basically, he got us to read poetry and commented on it with what voice he had. Then we went home.

I wasn't complaining.

Homework is all done for now. I'll have to write a post-report after this morning's lab, but that's later. Homework for Thursday is done and handed in. Homework for today was finished even before he told us we no longer have to hand in our pre-reports; we just bring them to lab as help now. I'll probably write a poem some time this week, but that's not so much a requirement as something I want to try.

Hopefully I can relax for a while today. I like that idea.

Again thanks for the Gundam seed songs. They are really good!

Class an hour? Awesome :D I'll talk to you soon!

You know, you pointed out a very good reason why I can't get into Destiny. I watched Full Metal Alchemist between SEED and Destiny. That spoiled me for story *and* characterization. Next to the characters of Hagaren, the Destiny characters are flat, flat, flat.

The characters *were* better with SEED, though -- because the central conflict, Athrun and Kira fighting against each other, gave them something to *care* about. In Destiny, the canon characters are zombies, at least in the eps I saw. (And SEED also had a certain yaoi crack undertone which is missing entirely from Destiny. Every guy in the series seemed to be hitting on every other guy at some point or another -- at least from my viewpoint. ~_^)

I'm reading the SEED manga and waiting until I find the anime in a boxset or something (because, um, I'm lazy), but I found the same problem. In the first volume alone, I kept having to flick back to the profiles and find you who was who again. And when I found myself doing this right up to the end, I got a little pissed off.

Still... I can't give up yet. :)

Oh, also? My aunt got me the entire Sorceror Stabber Orphen anime for Christmas and I'm slowly working my way through. I can actually reread your Orphen fics again and know who's who beyond their names! ^__^
