Wow, I actually have time to update the journal this morning. Woo hoo!
Stupid work... eight hours of McCleaner's. Geh.
Oh well, I'll survive. I *should* get some work done on *something* while I'm there. Like Seeds or Rome, or my brand new one-shot Off-Limits. I still have to think of one more thing for Aya to try. Because, I have to have three things each for Omi and Aya, to try and seduce their respective partners into breaking off the bet and having sex again. Hehe... I just need one more for Aya. And, of course, I already know what's going to actually *work*.
Poor Omi and Aya.
You know, I was talking to Lady Cosmos last night, and I realized how close I actually came to being an AyaxOmi fan. Crazy, huh? And it was because of a crossover fic, if you can believe that. I saw episode 11, and thought I'd see how the Aya/Omi fandom was. Then I read a crossover fic with Gravitation, and it seemed pretty good. But... then I saw episode 14. KenKen loves Omittchi! And the fanfiction was just ten times better, even though there's not much of it.
I feel like explaining my analysis of the OAV. (V, you're too stubborn! There's no RanKen! There isn't!)
Yes, Aya and Ken try to kill each other at the end. This apparently bodes well for a healthy relationship. I'm not sure how. Perhaps one day a RanKen fan can explain that reasoning and then I will understand. I get a headache trying to figure it out.
Aya kills Omi - so it's a good thing I wasn't an Aya/Omi fan at the time I saw it, hmm? Ken was lying prone on the ground and Aya and Youji both attack Omi. How fair is that? Poor Omi... Then again, he should've shot at them when he had the chance. He's way too soft-hearted. Youji holds Omi in place with wire and Aya stabs him. No fight, really. Ken comes back from semi-unconsciousness at that point and slaughters Youji - with one swipe. Ouch. That's when Aya and Ken fight.
Hmm... Aya just killed Omi. Ken not happy. Aya doesn't look too impressed either, but then again, Ken killed Youji. There's quite a bit of aggression involved - Ken looks like he's going to snap and start frothing at the mouth. Aya's got that cold hatred thing going down - but then, that's always what he looks like when he's fighting. Who would've predicted the ending? I wouldn't have, if I hadn't read spoilers. Hehe.
Did anyone else notice that Omi shot at them when they were fighting? I didn't at first... but then it shows you he was still alive... and holding up his crossbow.
Little points that probably don't mean anything. Ah, well.
No Schwartz in the OAV. Unless you count the thirty-second interaction between Schuldig and Crawford after the closing theme.
That's ok. I'm not the world's biggest Schwartz fan. The only member of Schwartz I really like is Nagi. He's just too cool. I may have said this before, but I see Nagi and Omi like two sides of a coin - they're very similar in some ways, but personality wise, they're almost complete opposites. Like light and darkness. Omi's my favorite character, so the idea intrigues me. I just have this image of the two of them standing back to back looking in opposite direction, Omi dressed all in light colors and Nagi in dark.
Too bad I can't draw.
I'm going to read this over when I'm fully conscious, and be like 'Whaaaaat the hell? Was I on crack or something?'
