But not everyone feels the way you do, right? I mean, I feel differently about it. I don't like the thought that I can't control this system and have no knowledge of who's getting email updates about my LJ. And I don't think I should have to make separate arrangements if I don't like it.

I find it a bit offensive that my discomfort - and the discomfort of others - is being treated as "silly". Sure, there are some people who think it's great. They're the lucky ones, because there it is for them to use.

For those of us who don't like it? I think we should be provided with the option of blocking it. It's only fair.
