Well, it looks like LJ is issuing a public apology and restoring journals that were removed in error. I haven't checked around to see which those include and which have stayed suspended, but it's a start.

NOTE: Skip to the last page and look at kazahaya's list of questions that still need to be addressed. Those really do seem fair, don't they? I wonder if LJ will provide answers.

This incedent even hit the news at animenewsnetwork.com because of the targeted lolicon and shotacon. Up to 500 accounts where deleted. Craziness.

I still don't have a clue how many of those banned journals were un-suspended. I'd only specifically heard of a couple of actual banned accounts. I know that the shota community is back up, for example, because it was mentioned on yaoi_daily. But a lot of people's questions are still unanswered. It's been pretty crazy.
