So, we're just on our way to London now and the train has free wireless! Woo!
I dunno if I can properly detail this trip, but...
We started our tour in Scotland. Our guide was awesome, and we had a pretty good group. Mostly older folk from the USA. They were all fairly nice, though. I took a ton of pictures of the countryside and the cities. It's so different over here! The buildings are much older.
We went to Ireland next, and I can see why it's called "The Emerald Isle". It's so green! Again, I took a lot of pictures and learned a bit about the country's history. We visited a couple of pubs with a few people from our tour, and our guide even joined us. Live entertainment in there, too, and everyone joins in the singing. It was pretty neat!
The highlight of the whole tour were the shows we went to see. We saw a Scottish Cabaret, the Edinburough Military Tattoo, a traditional Irish dance and song with stand-up comedy (this one was my favorite - the music was so good I bought some of their CDs afterwards) and a Medeival banquet with harp music and song. They were fantastic!
Last night Cody and I went to Chillingham Castle for a ghost tour. It was not what I expected... A lot of what we learned about the history of the place was highly disturbing. I won't go into detail, but I left the castle in tears and couldn't even finish listening to it at the very end. I'm not sure if I'm glad we visited or I regret it. I know more than I did before I went. That's all.
Today we'll be getting to our flat in London, and sight-seeing for another week! We are both homesick, but still looking forward to more fun!
On a completely unrelated note, anyone seen any of Shugo Chara? Got anything to say or recommend about it? I've been looking over some of the fandom, and the pairing wars are kind of bitter... but the show looks like a cute and fun one. Without seeing any of it (or reading any of the manga), I'm feeling swayed towards the pairing that has the less rabid fans (Tadase/Amu) just because there are an awful lot of trolls in the other (Ikuto/Amu). Never mind the fact that I know little to nothing about the characters besides their names and appearances... Maybe I should be a true yaoi fan and just go ahead and ship Ikuto/Tadase. No idea if they've any chemistry... Heh.
Fandoms are fun.

I'm curious about the ghost tour now. ._. I'm sorry it was so disturbing for you. ;o; *hugs*
Also: Never seen Shugo Chara before, but now I'm curious. xD You're always the one to get me into new fandoms (But I think I watched Kuroshitsuji and Code Geass on my own. And I rather love them. :3 I also need to watch the last episode of Baccano one of these days. ^^;; )
