Hunger Games
This post is delayed due to the fact that I have been sick, and also the fact that I am a procrastinator.
I saw The Hunger Games on Saturday night, after refusing to read the book beforehand because I wanted to go into the movie and judge it on its own without seeing all the places where things were left out and done differently.
I think this was a good decision.
Not to say that I would've hated it if I'd read the book (I have no idea, because I haven't read the book yet - although I fully intend to). But I just... loved it so much as it was. The movie was brilliant. So much emotion while watching it. I want to know more about the people in it, even the ones we barely saw anything of. I want to know more about the world. I want to know the rest of Katniss's story, and Peeta's, and their friends and everyone.
It might be that it's still too new, and too shiny, for me to talk much about it, because I honestly have nothing bad to say at this point. The pacing was good, the story was good, the characters were good, nothing felt rushed or forced or unexplained. The ending was satisfying enough, but it left me wanting more.
And luckily for me, there is plenty more to find.
