*points to Izzy icon* The first and most intelligent anime redhead to become my favorite! Have I mentioned that I love him?
I was taking a nap after work, and when I woke up, decided to watch some Digimon. Not full episodes, because I still have those tapes coming for me that'll have all of season one, but clips and whatever else looked interesting. I came across a commercial I'd taped, from a while ago when Digimon was being shown on TV more often. And it made me recall how many amusing commercials Digimon had... *sniffle* Back in the day...
The one I had on my tape was this one:
*phone rings*
Tai: Hello?
Izzy: Hey Tai, this is Izzy.
Tai: Hey Izzy, what's up?
Izzy: Nothing. *line beeps* Hold on, I have another call. *clicks* Hello?
Joe: Hi. Is Izzy there?
Izzy: Yeah, hey Joe!
Joe: It's Joe.
Izzy: I know! I'll have to call you back. *clicks* Hello, Tai?
Tai: Yeah. *line beeps* Hold on, I have another call. *clicks* Hello?
Wormmon: Yes, hello, is your refridgerator running?
Tai: I'm not falling for that one. *clicks back* Hey, Izzy?
Izzy: Hey... *line beeps* Hold on a second, Tai. *clicks* Hello?
Girl: Hey girlfriend, what's happening?
Izzy: I'm not a girl! You have the wrong number! *clicks* Tai?
Tai: Izzy?
Girl: Girlfriend?
Joe: Uhhhhh...
*someone dialing*
Tai: Mom! I'm on the phone!
Tai's mom: Oh dear...
**cue ad for the show**
I just find that very amusing. Maybe it's the hyper-ness talking... *grin*
Another one I recall is the conversation between Matt and Cody over whether one should use the term 'pop' or 'soda'...
Matt: Soda!
Cody: Pop!
Matt: What are you, like, five?
Cody: Okay, *grandpa*...
Amusing. ^_^
I think there was one at a dinner table where they were all eating those buns... I don't remember what was in it. Does anyone else? It was season two - that's all I remember.
One of the best Digimon commercials I saw - one that never fails to make me want to watch season two again - is the Ken commercial that showed near the end of the season. I don't remember exactly how it went, but it started with "Behind every villain, there's a soul...", it had Ken saying "What have I done?" and Daisuke telling him, "You have the power to change!" It was a great commercial.
I have it on tape, of course. ^_^
Does anyone know of any other good ones? I can't remember them all, but I know there were others that I liked. I wish I'd taped more of them.
