Digimon manga

Well, I have my Digimon manga... some of it, anyway... The bookstore accidently sent me volume four instead of volume two... I already have four so I got them to order two for me again. I did get volumes one and three, though.

Yay!

Okay, so here we go...


**Good things about the manga**

1. Less pointless chatter from the digimon
2. Lots of scenes with Izzy
3. Tai admitting he was glad to be holding Matt's hand
4. Mimi actually being cool since you don't have to hear her voice
5. NO Tai/Sora hints (unless you count him not letting her fall to her death)
6. Tai loves Izzy (no, I'm not going to get over it)
7. Extra or changed scenes that tended to be better that way
8. More accurate translations


**Bad things about the manga**

1. Rushed scenes, or ones that don't make any sense
2. Lots of cut material
3. NOT ENOUGH MATT!!!!!! (he had better be featured more in volume two and/or volume five)
4. Continued use of dubbed names (*cough*Kamiya*cough*)
5. Only Tai and Kari appear to have parents
6. No angsty issues (this could be why there is less material with Matt)
7. The Subzero Ice Punch scenario was only mentioned in passing
8. Extra or changed scenes that were better off as they were


I've decided, after reading this manga, that there is no way Tai could possibly be straight. Hmm... Well... He admittedly loves Izzy (platonic, my ass) and was grateful to be holding Matt's hand. But he gave Mimi a thumbs up and he didn't let Sora die, so he must love *them*.

I'm so glad I'm not a het fan. This is much more fun.

Mimi/Sora: Tai, Izzy, how'd you find us?
Tai/Izzy: Oh, you know. Followed the carnage.

Matt: The humane society would have a field day with *you*, vampy.

Mimi: Fear the cactus!

TK: Hi, is everyone all... wow, you're getting trashed.

Tai: I was really glad I was holding Matt's hand. Just don't ever tell him that, okay?

Tai: It's why I love Izzy. He's absolutely amazing and he doesn't even realize it. (no, I will never get tired of that quote)

Hehe... yeah, there are some amusing quotes in Digimon. ^_^ I like to keep track of them, because they can be surprisingly good. It's part of the reason I tend to prefer the dub to the original.

I probably noted to myself ALL of those quotes you mentioned. :P And in the second book, TK sings "Bye Bye Bye" to the baby digimon. I DO NOT LIE. XD

Izzy only says Prodigious....ONCE...HUH? WHAT THE FLOOF? <<. >>. Wow....

Yeah. Taichi is not straight. He is either full out homosexual or bisexual << Koushirou's a bisexual too I decided. That way I can have both yaoi AND het shipping involving him. It works!

Tai is gay. So's Izzy. :P I refuse to be persuaded otherwise. Anything hinting that they might be straight is just confusion. Because they're still young, you know. *grin*

I believe you about the "Bye Bye Bye". -_- It wouldn't be the weirdest thing I've seen in a translated manga.

And at least he says it once. If he hadn't said it at all, I'd be very disappointed.

Yeah. I'm still fully suprised that Izzy didn't utter his catchphrase another time. Maybe he'll yell "PRODIGIOUS" in the 5th volume :P

Imagine Izzy's mother if he came home one day and said "Mom, I like boys." XD

Izzy's mother is a bit weird... hehe... I actually wrote a fic that kinda showed that. Called it "Parental Control". It was a Taishiro - they kept trying to make out without interruption, and she kept... well, interrupting. ^_~

Mrs. Izumi is odd, but I still wish I had her for my mother. ^^ I mean, who can say no to baked goods?! And plus she's ungodly nice o.0 My mother hates baking...
