Fanfic-ness
Well, I'm kinda bored at the moment, so I thought I'd post something from that fanfic I'm working on. This is just a couple of short clips, and they're from a Tamers AU fic at that... but any interested parties can take a quick look. The fic's split between two POVs - so I can focus on two couples instead of just one.
And... there:
**Takato**
Ruki's cold stare turned on the door. "Takato, either come inside or go all the way back out."
Caught. I pulled open the door and offered a sheepish grin. "Sorry, Ruki. I was just - "
"I know what you were doing." She didn't look amused, either. "Go put the bucket away."
"Uh… yeah." I edged around the stranger and stowed the bucket away behind the counter. "Want me to leave you alone?" Still curious, I snuck a look at her guest over the top of the counter.
And didn't have a chance for a second thought.
The guy standing in the middle of Ruki's store wasn't like anyone I'd ever seen before. And I'm not really sure how that worked, either. I mean, he was good looking - that was really the first thing you had to notice about him. He had dark hair and tanned skin, and his eyes - really nicely shaped eyes - were a steady grey shade. He was lean without being too skinny, and probably a couple of inches taller than me. But it wasn't just the fact that he was good looking… It was something like… Well… I wasn't really sure. But there was definitely something about him I liked.
Something I liked a lot.
**Kenta**
Unfortunately, even after we'd crawled into bed and I waved all the lights off, my thoughts still wouldn't leave me alone.
What the hell, though? Who just picks someone off the street at random and decides to stare at them until they develop a nervous twitch, shove them into a wall, and then hold their glasses hostage to force them to be shown around? And not to mention kissing them, even though said crazy person has only known them for an hour or two.
I was starting to become seriously worried that I was dealing with a complete lunatic.
It would be just my luck, though - I somehow managed to attract a cute guy, and it turned out he belonged in a crazy house. Well, wouldn't that be great? Fantastic. Fate loved me.
Wait a minute… cute? I never thought he was cute. He wasn't cute. All he had was a really nice smile, and friendly eyes, and… and…
… He might've been a little cute…
But that was really beside the point!

That is priceless. Simply priceless. I can't wait to see more of this. I want to know what happened!
