Saw Return of the King last night.

Yup.

Decent movie, I *suppose*...

Yes. Decent. That is it.

Go and see this movie! What are you waiting for? My god, that was fantastic! That was like... the MOVIE! The BEST movie I have ever seen and will ever see in my life!

Okay... I knew it was going to be good. I knew I was going to like it, no matter what. But it was even better than the other two! My god! I mean... wow! Wow... It's been more than eleven hours since it ended now, and I'm still awed by it. The movie was beautiful!

After the second movie, it looked like the hobbits were being given slightly lesser roles... But in this movie, no. The hobbits *owned* this movie. Aragorn was there, and he was awesome, and there were other characters who were focussed on heavily - but I still think it was mostly the hobbits in this one.

I had to download this song as soon as I got home, too... One of my favorite moments in the movie is when Pippin is singing - and they're showing those scenes with it; it's really powerful. There were other moments (several leap to mind immediately) but I'm *listening* to this one now.

No spoilers from me, though - go see the movie. You won't regret it.

Quick question: Have you read The Lord of the Rings? I'm just curious if your impression of the movie is that of someone who went in knowing what to expect to happen, or if it was someone who was happily surprised by how it all turned out? I plan to see the movie anyhow (though while in Pittsburgh - too much to do in CA before we leave), but since I've read The Lord of the Rings at least ten times, there's no rush for me to get to the ending. ^_^; But by all accounts so far I've yet to find a single person who didn't think it was the best of the three movies, so that alone makes me eager.

Shall have to wait until my friend gets the CD and copies it for me instead. :)

Oooh, Aragorn singing.
