My last full and complete day off before school starts! I intend to enjoy it - so there. I may not get anything done, but I'm going to do exactly what I feel like when I feel like doing it.

Hopefully.

At the moment, I want to write. So I will be writing for a while now.

I saw Return of the King again yesterday. That's five times now. Which wouldn't be too bad if I didn't plan to see it many, many more times. Mwaha.

Yeah, I happen to adore the movie, okay?

And I *will* see slash in it, even if Tolkien turns over in his grave every time that happens. I am a yaoi fan girl, and proud of it - and I will see slash just about everywhere. I've read the books about ten times since I was eleven, and yet I still have no qualms about seeing the slash in the movies. I suppose this makes me some kind of freak? Everyone I know seems so determined to keep them slash-free.

I am vaguely amused by this, but whatever.

Here are my opinions on the romances in the film... not that anyone wants to hear them, which is why they're behind an LJ cut.

Sam and Rosie's wedding was adorable. They do make a cute couple, even if I expected him to jump into the water and swim after the boat at the end. ("Mr. Frodo can't leave without me!!!")

Elrond would be expecting that. Then Merry and Pippin would jump in just because Sam did, and... Well, I'm getting off-track. Sorry.

Aragorn and Arwen... The scene where he's dreaming and she's dying, I really enjoyed. I also love the scene in the Fellowship where they have a "moment". I can't deny the fact that I do like this couple, even though I think Aragorn's a man-whore.

I also *love* the Faramir/Eowyn thing, even though that was excluded from the movie. They look very good together. I may even go read fanfiction or something. I'll see if I can get V to recommend me one...

Merry and Pippin are... very slashy. This cannot be denied. No matter how hard some people are trying. I'm going to leave it at that.

The movie doesn't even really *need* romance - it's breathtaking all on its own. And the slashy hints are like a bonus. Because I love it, and I'm not going to deny it.

Gimli/Legolas = OTP

I started reading the books four years ago. I'm not sure how far I got before I found something new and interesting (Shelob at least), but I know that I've read FotR six or seven times, and the first part of TT three or four. It still remains a fact that I finished the last book this Christmas, for the first time NOT skipping all the boring-looking parts. And I don't think reading only the interesting things can be classified as... well, "right".
