Well, Return of the King took away every award it was nominated for last night... including Best Picture and Best Director. Yay! I was hoping it would.

It deserved to.

Anyway, aside from that Hikaru no Go special, I managed to watch the end of D.N.Angel. The last two episodes are absolutely fantastic. Everyone should watch them, even if that's the only part of the series they watch.

Urgh... other than that, yesterday was pretty pointless as far as anything meaningful goes. I'm so lazy.

I'll probably be paying for it later, too.

Ha ha. I thought that would make you happy. I caught the end of the ceremony on TV last night. Peter Jackson looked like he just rolled out of bed or something.

Very curious about Hikaru no Go, since I remember hearing rumors of it on the web almost two years ago, and because I've always been intrigued by that game, though I don't know the extent to which it plays in the plot. Another series I wanna check out.

Just watched a short one-shot called Voices Of A Distant Star (http://www.allmovie.com/cg/avg.dll?p=avg&sql=16:E|34756). Got it at Blockbuster so obviously it can't be too hard to find. Very moving, made me cry. Yep.

I'll keep an eye out for that one. ;) I don't spend a lot of time looking for anime in local video stores, though. They generally tend to have a lot of crap with very few gems mixed in.

I get most of my anime online - downloading and buying DVDs from Discount Anime DVDs. Only a few things in my collection are actually commercial releases.

But I'm an obsessed fan, of course.
