I managed to get much accomplished yesterday - probably because I had no afternoon classes. Got some work done on my assignments, despite the fact that nothing's actually due until Monday. And, I managed to finish the little bit of my Digimon fic that was left to write.

That fic actually got to be 68 pages long, so I split it into a three-parter. The first part can be found on ff.net here, at mm.org here, and on my site.

I also got that +Anima fic I finished a couple of days ago posted. It's on ff.net here and in the brand new Miscallaneous section on my site.

That's about it for fics... on to even less productive things.

So, I finished reading all of the D.N.Angel chapters I didn't have yet, and they were very nice. I love D.N.Angel. That didn't take me very long, though... In any case, I'd been downloading quite a few chapters of Hikaru no Go. That is a very long manga series, so I figured I'd better start early and get as much as I could.

Good thing I did, because I decided to start reading it last night when I got to a certain point with my assignment. Figured I'd take a 'break'.

It turned into an awfully long break.

So, yeah, I am currently six volumes in. I have twelve volumes downloaded, but it got late and my eyes were starting to get blurry.

So... um... to be brief, it's very good.

I'm going to go read more now.

There are 23 volumes of the HikaGo manga total. Volumes 1-17 contain the material that was the basis for the TV series. Volume 18 is sidestory (read: filler) material about various characters (not essential, really). Volumes 19-23 cover the Hokuto Cup.

Once you get past the first few chapters, the manga is very close to the anime, save for some character designs. Ogata is a lot more attractive in the anime than he is in the early chapters of the manga.

And if you ever decide to write HikaGo fic, I'd be happy to beta for you. ~_^

Ehehe... I'm now nine volumes in. (can't stop reading! @_@) I think Hikaru might slowly be edging up as my favorite character, even though I didn't like him when I first watched the anime. Waya'd be a very close second, though. (I love him! CUTE!) And I love Akira... and Isumi... Man, the characters are awesome in this series! So much fun!

Ogata... Eh, he's okay, I guess. Honestly, the younger characters are way more interesting than the older ones.

And if I ever decide to write Hikaru no Go fanfiction, I will take you up on that! :D
