I hate my stupid job.
Some woman came in last night - actually, the same woman who gave me trouble a while ago - and she stayed until twenty after nine - again. I kept telling her we were closed, and she wouldn't listen! Argh! How do you get rid of these people? She kept saying 'Well, what're you going to do about it?' and telling me to 'f*ck off'. That's just nasty. Then she said something about my minimum wage. Well... hello! For eight dollars an hour, I don't think it's worth putting up with your crap, lady!
I am asking Tanya what I'm supposed to do about people like her. What do you do, if they don't leave?
Tanya was actually there for a while, just before the lady came in. She was telling me how we got robbed a while back - apparently some guy waited until she was on the phone, then reached over the counter and dug into the laundry cash. She actually ran over and grabbed the back of his shirt when he tried to get away, but he managed to get twenty dollars from us. Nice, huh?
And... get this. The guy was the same one who left all his wet clothes and then claimed he didn't want them dried *after* we had to dry them all in order to keep them from getting moldy. Apparently he has a bit of a drug problem, and needs cash for that.
Bleh. I hate customers. I hate this job. I hope that lady never comes back again, even though I know she will because she's a regular. I don't know how to deal with people like that after nine. How *do* you make them leave? Is there any way you can somehow get it through their thick skulls that we close at nine, and there's a reason for that?
People are so, so *stupid*. This woman kept saying she wasn't, but she sure seemed that way to me. What do you call someone who sits in the laundromat scratching those tickets at ten minutes to nine when she's got 13 loads of laundry just *sitting* in the dryers that she's going to have to put away?
To me, that's stupid. Maybe she's got a different definition.
