Happy Easter, to those who celebrate

Chocolate day! I mean... Easter. Yes. I got a bunch of chocolate, and am happy. We're also going to have a nice brunch before my sister leaves to go back to Sacramento for the rest of her semester.

I'll actually miss her.

So, I decided on Noir for yesterday. Actually, I went the video place and rented the first volume of both Noir and RahXephon, so I'll probably watch RahXephon later today, and then tomorrow go back for another volume of one or both.

Noir was... actually very good, despite being kind of campy in places. It's almost like a female version of Weiss Kreuz but with only two assassins and no flower shop. I see a good amount of female independence in there so far, and I like that a lot.

So yeah, I'll probably have to rent and watch the rest.

The music is pretty neat, too. I managed to find the opening theme and a couple of soundtrack songs... Anyone got that upbeat one that plays when they're fighting?

I also changed my wallpaper yesterday, because I found the perfect one! Well, perfect for me. It's a really gorgeous picture of Hikaru and Akira, with an almost sunset or sunrise in behind them, and I absolutely adore it.

Damn, you're lucky to have anime to rent. The store where I usually go has diddly squat in the way of anime. I've actally given thought to joining Netflix, but I don't know how extensive their anime selection is.

Actually, I was surprised - normally, BlockBuster sucks when it comes to anime, and Rogers isn't much better. (those are the two video stores near my house) But they seem to be getting a bit better as far as that goes...

Anyway, I consider myself lucky and am watching it all before it disappears. ^___^

Your Blockbuster actually has Noir? The ones near me have next to nothing outside of full-length films and the occasional 2 or 3 volume set. I really want to see this (since I saw the preview for it on one of my Haibane Renmai DVD) but I figure that I'll either have to borrow it from someone (there's a chance someone I know might own it, but I've never actually asked anyone if I could borrow that kind of thing from them) or just buy it and hope that I like it. It looks really cool. How can you not like this sort of thing?

It's a neat anime. If you like killing, angst, and girls kicking some ass, then you'll enjoy it.

Our Blockbuster was absolutely horrid when it came to anime - up until recently, it seems. I was very surprised to find both of these anime there, the ones I wanted to see. :) But I'm not complaining.
