Okay, so I did buy Return of the King yesterday, and I don't regret it, either! I love that movie... A fact which I was reminded of very strongly when I watched it again. It's been a while... I am happy now, though.

Very lovely movie.

By the way, does anyone know who the fourth elf is when Frodo's getting on the boat? There's Elrond, Galadriel, Celeborn, and...?

It bothers me that I don't know.

I noticed something else, but I can't remember what, so it must not have been important. Oh well.

Also, ALL of my sisters are stupid now. All three. Two of them were having sex in this house while my parents were home, and the other... well...

Sadly, it was fallowed up by moral disgust over the opinion in its-self and your sister, something I really have no right to feel other than for the fact that it was directed at my sexuality. ^^;

No, feel free to think of my sister as a small-minded bigot - after all, that's what she is. It's disturbing for me to discover it, that's all, and I don't think I'll bring it up with her. She's more or less become one of those people I don't think are worth arguing with.

You've got every right to feel offended. *I* feel offended, and it wasn't my sexuality she was insulting. The fact that she's no better than those intolerant people I've come across on the 'net really and truly makes me sad.

I am sorry that you have to put up with her I'd have to say the mental suffocation of it would be much like wrapping your head in plastic-wrap and then dropping yourself into the sea.

I wish I could support you with more than my own frustration over the subject and a few words that probably do nothing for the greater good.

Not my place to judge your sister, though I'm hoping she's just young and foolish, and doesn't really know what she's saying. She is not young enough to be unaware of what she's saying. My sisters are twenty years old now, actually. So no, she's prejudiced, not misguided.

As much as I want to tell you to just stick it to her, I don't know if she's really mature enough to see the foolishness of her attitude. Just try to bear it with patience for now.

My sister is similarly closed minded. When she went to college she met several people who were gay. I think it was probably a first since she was mostly raised in the small, rather narrow-minded town I spent several years desperately wanting to leave. After she mentioned several gay people she knew and liked I asked her about the subject figuring that maybe she'd at last opened her mind some.

"Well, they can live like that but I still think its wrong. I don't agree with their choices and they'll have to pay for it after they die."

Yeah, my sister has done some really stupid things in her lifetime as well. She never got caught having sex at the house (really, WTF were the thinking?), but she has her moments. There are times I want to haul off and pop her upside the head. And she's around 20 as well.
