First off, before I forget, does anyone know how to make fonts come out smoother when using Photoshop? Mine always seem to come out sort of choppy. Also, what font is best for manga/scanlations?

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

Yesterday, I stayed home all day and did nothing. I probably should've taken that book back to the library, really, but no. Another ten cents added to the fine. I'm so incredibly lazy...

Ah well. I'm on vacation. I can be lazy if I want.

Did some work on a couple of things. Game Over part five is inching toward being finished. I even did some work on a fanfic I haven't worked on in a couple of years. It's an extremely crappy fanfic - I'm trying to improve this chapter so at least this part will seem less crappy.

It might just be a lost cause, but at least I seem to be getting somewhere. Maybe one day I'll even be able to post it.

I have to do some research and serious thinking about the new project. I visited a couple of sites with 'dos' and 'don'ts' and helpful tips, and I think I might revise the intro I'd planned. I'm sure I can do this.

I work at two today. Only until six, though. Then I'll be doing something with V, Jo, and Adam. And maybe Jen? I can hope...

The most common scanlation font is Wild Words. (At least 2 sites say this)

This site will probably help you a LOT. http://www.questie.com/manga/ScanEditGuide/

If you need the font, you can go to the edit section and search for the font name. There should be a link.

Smoothing text (at least in PS 6.0) can be done:
1. With the text tool
2. Either before you type (or hi-light the text to be changed)
3. The sixth drop-down box should have a choice of None, Crisp, Strong, and Smooth.
4. Choose 'Smooth' ... there's a subtle difference, but it's there.

Happy Scanlating!
