Survive, last episode

I just finished watching the very last episode of Uninhabited Planet Survive.

WAH! GAH! WAI! YAY!!!!!!!

It was perfect! It was SO perfect! I love this series! It is a wonderful, wonderful, WONDERFUL series! I want to watch it over and over! And over and over and OVER!

It was... it was the 'ten years later' ending. But... but good! So good! With the perfect jobs! And no children! And totally open for whatever pairings! Whoever wrote that ending was a fucking genius. It was like... what the ending of Digimon 02 SHOULD'VE been. And so, SO much more.

Kaoru is so FUCKING sexy in his coat and with his hair shorter, and as a pilot. (heh, anyone who's seen past episode 23 knew what he was going to be, but STILL) He was always sexy, but... gah! He's even sexier now! And Bell, cutie he is, following in his father's footsteps, and Menori, wanting to be in the GOVERNMENT. I love her! She is awesome! I knew Sharla would be a writer, but it's still so cool, and Shingo being the mechanic is also well known but the best thing in the whole world, and... and... Howard! An ACTOR! WAAAAIII! That is so perfect! I didn't guess at all, but GAH! It is so RIGHT! So him! And Luna gets to fulfill her dream and be what she wanted to be... Excellent!

I love this series. I mean, it doesn't have plot and characters as strong as FMA or HikaGo, but dear god, I love it! It's so wonderful!

I can't even be sad right now that it's over. It was just so good... SO good... I'm still on a high from that.

YAY!

I skipped over reading the spoilers and just came to comment here...

:D Glad it ended well and open-ended. Looking forward to watching it.

An ending that was done right? Wooow.....so reccommend this anime to me? I've only heard of it.

I think you sold me when you said it was what digimon 02 should have been.

Oh, Digimon 02....I hate you so....(shoots yolei and sora)

Ah!! Thank you sankyu for the links!!!

That's what digimon should have done: Believable careers, no official pairings, no kids. Then everyone can imagine what they want and everyone is happy.

I'll try it out. Thank you so much.

*hugs, twirls* Isn't that a great ending? I am utterly convinced that uninhabited Planet Survive taps the same well that Digimon Adventures/Digimon 02 did... the VERY same. It might not rise to the same heights (Howard is no Digimon Kaizer, not by a long shot). But then, it doesn't stumble the way that Digimon often did, either. As a series it's totally steady and appealing and from beginning to end it completely invites the viewer to use his or her imagination.

I'm half tempted to pimp this series on the Daiken LJ. Because everyone who loves Digimon probably should give this a try. EVERYONE.

Wait....I'm a huge Daiken fan. Is there any Daiken like couple on this?

Or Taito/Yamachi? That I can at least dream up in my head?

Argh!! Bittorrent is taking sooo long!!!

Herongale and Silverthunder, you guys are selling it like it's a movie preview!!!! (waits impatiently for download to end)

There's no "hearts that beat as one" or "seeing you squirm is sooooo delicious," if that's what you mean. Digimon 02 had some really strong subtext. However! I think there is a LOT of scope for the slashy imagination in this series.

*grins* I hope you like it. :)
