Okay. Just as a warning, I intend to devote most of today's entry to my game, since that's what I spent a good chunk of my free time on yesterday.
Anyway...
First of all, the game is soooo cool! I love it! The CG art is incredible, the scenery is excellent, and I love the characters! (of course, I already knew that last bit) The game is mostly dialogue - basically the characters stand around in casual poses talking to each other. That can get kind of boring since I don't speak Japanese... but I recognize words and phrases. Although sometimes that makes it worse...
There was a scene where Alex left Sapphi for a while and was ranting to Ruby about something... I'm not sure what, because I can't understand him, but I recognized the word 'koibito' and the phrase 'ai shiteru'. ARGH! I wanna know what he said! I get the feeling they're doing the boys love thing without me, and I can't get to it unless I somehow become fluent in Japanese!
WAH!
Anyway, though, the game is totally worth it (at least for me) because though you have to wade through a lot of talking, there are occassional battles to be had. They were excellent! Apocripha/0 is a card battle game, so basically you have so much life for each of your two characters, and you choose cards for your attacks. My first battle was against an angel - that evil looking thing I've seen pictured a couple of times - and I had no idea what I was doing. I couldn't figure out how to use get the heal cards to stop healing Alex and start healing Sapphi, so... SHE KILLED SAPPHI!!! And, at that point, it was game over. But... I save the game at regular intervals, so I just came right back and beat her into the ground! Yeah, you like that? HAHAHAHAHA!
Ehehe... Anyway...
My next fight was with Platina, and he royally kicked my a$$. (killed Sapphi AGAIN! Poor Sapphi...) However, the game continued on and Sapphi was still around... so I saved it as a separate game. That way, I can still go back and try to beat Platina at some point, but for now, I'm going to continue on. I just made it to level two this morning. Go me!
The card battles are really fun. If you use the 'guard' card, you can get one of them to protect the other, and it shows a picture of whoever you used the card for looking all frantic. And, of course, the battles are voiced. It's really neat!
I hope there are more battles coming soon. It's starting to get a little boring listening to them talk to people. I really dislike Beryl for some reason. Oh well.

Is this one of those times when the apprentice surpasses the master? Hehehehe...
Anyway, the game is really boring until you get to level two, so don't feel so bad. I can't understand what they're saying! >_< It's really frustrating.

Heh, I wish I could play the game. I might be able to catch some stuff ^^;; At least, more than you. Probably not much more though. And *do* post any good SapphixAlex pics *pleads*
