Obsession level... achieved
I knew I'd get there with Hunter X Hunter eventually. Too cute and too fun and too many interesting characters.
EPISODE 18! SHOWER SCENES! KURAPIKA ANGST! NAKED LEORIO! AND OMG GON AND KILLUA ARE SO *DAMN* CUTE!!! I MUST SQUEAL LIKE A RABID FANGIRL OVER ALL FOUR OF THEM!!!
All right... that aside...
As cute as Gon and Killua are in their adorable pre-slash friendshippy thing, I really have to say that after episode 20, Leorio/Kurapika is my OTP. I rarely like pairings with more than a 1-2 year age difference - I think the one with the biggest gap was Orphen/Majic. Same with the difference in size - it marks too much of a distinction between "seme" and "uke" that tends to bug me. The dynamics betweeen Leorio and Kurapika absolutely slay me, though; I totally couldn't resist. Kurapika's reaction to what happened to Leorio on the ship just kinda firmed it up.
You'd think this show was about slash, the way I go on about it. It's not. It's about fighting. Which looks really cool onscreen, but it's not worth fangirling over. So, you get the slash report. Heh.
On a completely unrelated note, I wish Hanso was in the series for longer. Ninjas are cool.

Rival sex is good, because it tends to be what I call wall!sex. (as in, up against a wall, going at it like there's no tomorrow) But it doesn't have to be rival sex to be wall!sex. I think Leorio/Kurapika could end up being wall!sex. They're the kind of couple that would stretch out the sexual tension until it's about to snap.
I have yet to see anything of Kuroro, but I think there's a different kind of tension there. Then again... bias. ;)

Mmm... yeah. Wall!sex is a beautiful thing. Nice to get out that worked up sexual tension and all the aggression inside. :D Beautiful way.
...You are rather right about Leorio and Kurapika possibly having that, too. Either from outside forces sometimes, too.
There is a different kind of tension... In my opinion. =/ And I'm biased, too. >D
