I think I've done this one before...

If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or NaNoWriMo or what have you, post exactly one sentence/paragraph/whatever from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal. It should probably be your favorite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else -- this is merely to whet the general appetite for your forthcoming work(s).

Blurring the Line (original)
And now he wasn't willing to let go of the idea; after all, he'd said it - they couldn't just take it back. Brian was aware of Omen watching him with interest from the bed - of Cet staring at him as if he'd announced that he was going to strip naked, paint his body black, and do a line dance.

Game Over (original)
There was something surreal about the normalcy of the scene - but I was even starting to get used to that. After all, this was my third illusion - even if it was the first failed one - and people adjusted, right? Living two separate lives was something people could do; I'd seen it in the movies.

Piece of a Legend (original)
The boy looked up again, and there was an unmistakable hunger in his gaze - a kind of fierce, uncompromising *need* that would've had Aaren scrambling backwards away from him if his back weren't already to a tree. A quick wave of panic spiked up from somewhere in the pit of his stomach, and he had to swallow again, squashing it before it could cloud his reasoning even further.

Risk and Hurt (Hunter X Hunter fanfic)
It was all Gon's fault for being so stupidly cute. Killua resolved to put ants in his shorts at the soonest opportunity.
