Music

This isn't a meme, I'm just looking for stuff to listen to and possibly put on a CD. So, anyone who has time, please recommend a song to me? Any song you want, more than one if you really love me - try for stuff you think I haven't hear of and can get on LimeWire.

Thanks!

(reposted due to severe HTML mess-up) ^^;

----

Ooooh! *rubs hands*

Anything and everything by Nightwish - my favourite songs by them are Planet Hell, Gethsemane, Bare Grace Misery and Wish I Had An Angel. Actually, I love everything by them. *g*

Sister of Charity by The 69 Eyes.

Dress by BUCK-TICK, who are my favourite Japanese rock band.

Also, Abracadabra by this French band called Alizee. It's a song in French that features screeching cats at the beginning, middle and end. (It was part of a Loveless FST on [livejournal.com profile] fst.) I gave it to a friend as a joke, and he and his flatmates fell in love and played it so loudly that their neighbours called security because they thought they were killing cats, or something. (Actually, I'll probably send it to you anyway, simply because it's a beautiful song... even with the screeching cats parts.)

My favourite anime music right now are two songs from Hellsing - "Logos Naki World" (A World without Logos) and "Gypsy of Atonement" - and "Woke From Dreaming" from Gunslinger Girl, all of which you can get for free on this website (http://gendou.com/amusic/). Also, the entire soundtrack of Trinity Blood which is on a few torrents.

Um, look, I'm shutting up now. I have far too much music (in an effort to show my friend the music I like, I offered to burn a CD for him, and ended up giving him two full CDs, and that's only because I limited myself).

I have a few anime soundtracks from Yami no Matsuei, Utena and Wolf's Rain, too, and lots of OP and EDs, too.

If you like, I can send you stuff through YSI or something because I love sending music to people, and I don't know if can get this stuff on Limewire since I've never used it.

...uh, sorry for rambling. ^^;

I know, I wasn't particularly into rock either until about a two years ago. Funny how these things happen, eh?

BUT, now that I know what stuff you like, I'll give another hunt through my music. (It says a lot that I have to hunt through it...)

(The Gubslinger OST is very beautiful, though. Lovely use of violins and stuff. The ending theme is something like Italian opera and is just so sad and haunting.)

Also, you should check out 'Lilium' the opening theme to Elfen Lied. It's Latin church music and just wow.

I just uploaded Maria Mena-- What's Another Day (http://s38.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0TKK3R0MGK8MN3IXCYVWFEJM94)

Nakashima Mika has a wonderful voice and since you've mentioned you like softer songs, I highly recommend "Hitori".

Dido does some nice ballads,and in a music post I made a couple of days ago-- I think you might be interested in some of the songs there. (Plus there's Aladdin. :D) t.A.T.u. and Sweetbox are nice too. Please poke me if you have any trouble finding any of these groups, OK? ^^

'1 tym' and 'one love' by 1 tym I liked them and had them on my old computer, though I don't understand all the lyrics. 1 tym a korean boy band from some years back; I'm not sure if they're still around. Like I said, I don't really understand the lyrics.

Like someone already suggested...Nakashima Mika's songs are beautiful~ I think you'll like all of her songs - she does a bit of jazz, ballads, and she recently had a single w/ 4 rock songs...but they're more like, slow rock songs..With her voice, they sound gorgeous =D

I would recommend Ayumi Hamasaki's songs like Memorial Address, A Song for XX, Walking Proud, SEASONS, M, etc. I don't know what you'd think of her voice...It sounds really high pitched but she has a very big range~ =) Her slow songs are very beautiful~

Namie Amuro is really good too..Though admittedly, I only like about 3 of her songs from her newest album~ Girl Talk, ALL FOR YOU, Free, and I love you

I've recently got into Koda Kumi (she did the theme songs for Final Fantasy X-2) and Promise and Butterfly are two great songs...1000 no Kotoba is good too ^^ Her fast songs are more hip hop and R&Bish though~ I'm not sure if you're into that ^^;;;

Otsuka Ai has an incredibly adorable voice and she writes and composes all her own music. Kingyo Hanabi, Daisuki dayo, and Planetarium are all really nice slow songs :33

I also recommend a song by Tommy February6 called Lonely in Gorgeous...I don't listen to her on a regular basis but that ONE song is really good~ It's also the theme song for Paradise Kiss the anime ^^

Er...I stalk your LJ for fanfiction updates xDD; Hope you don't mind~
If you can't find some of these songs I'd be happy to upload them for you =)
