Pick a fictional character from a fandom I know and I'll answer the following questions to the best of my abilities:

1) What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her. Likewise if you dislike the character.

Himeno, from Pretear.

1. Himeno is one of my favorite anime females. She was strong and silly, a girl of character and vivid personality. At the same time, she was weak and vulnerable. She had her flaws and her virtues, a well-rounded character in her own right without falling into the magical girl cliche. And she knows martial arts! You can't go wrong.

2. Given that she is the Pretear and the world's only hope, I'd say... yeah. Just a little.

3. Yes, definitely. Especially where she tries to connect to her sisters and starts feeling self-conscious when they brush her off. I found Himeno to be pretty easy to relate to and sympathize with.

4. I don't think there's much of a fandom for Pretear. A few scattered fans, but not much fanfic or serious discussion. I never got heavily involved.

5. I like Hayate/Himeno... Sasame/Himeno could be fun too.

6. Mmm... hard to say. I don't think so, overall. Her character was consistent, and it fit into the plot as well.

7. I think we'd make good friends. Himeno knows how to start a conversation and keep it going. I can be awkward talking to people sometimes, even if I know them well. I can see it being fun.

8. Well, she is one of my favorite female characters, but she is not in the top five characters of all time. Probably just because Pretear was so short, though... I loved that series and really wished it was longer.

9. Yes, I would. Himeno is awesome and deserves love!

10. Most definitely. I don't think I've seen anyone who actively disliked her.

Touya Akira

1. I like Touya. He's one of those characters with slightly odd background, in that all of his friends seem to be adults and he doesn't have much idea of how to interact with people his own age. I feel sorry for him at some times (he seems a little awkward), but mostly I just find his obsessive behavior really fun.

2. Well, given that he's the one who pushes Hikaru into doing... um... almost everything, I'd say yeah.

3. I do not relate to Touya Akira, but he does grip me emotionally. I can understand where his attitude is coming from.

4. HikaGo fandom is friendly and open and overall fun. I like it very much.

5. Akira/Hikaru, of course. Brilliant interaction between those two.

6. No. This character is what he should be, given his circumstances. And he is also what he needs to be. Maybe I'd burn the pink shirt / purple suit combo, though.

7. I doubt that he and I would get along well. We wouldn't hate each other, but we'd be unlikely to have much in common and probably would never get to be friends. Plus Akira tends to ignore people who aren't really of interest to him, so yeah.

8. No. I like him, but he's not on the favorites list.

9. I don't think I'd be hyping up Akira if I was trying to get someone to watch HikaGo. I think he's one of those characters you have to grow to like, so you probably have to be interested in the show already before you can be any kind of hyped about him.

10. Extremely. Not that that's a bad thing...

Cody from Digimon 02.

1. I was never particularly fond of Cody in the show at the start, but I grew to like him a bit more as the series progressed. He's still not one of my favorites, but I like him well enough.

2. As much as any of the characters in Digimon. I suppose the plot could have lived without him, but it would change certain things.

3. I do not relate to Cody. He's too straightlaced and rigid. I do sympathize with him somtimes, but he's never been a character who I really felt I could connect with.

4. I really enjoyed my time in the Digimon fandom, although I'm not sure if the fandom I was a part of counts since it relates to Cody not at all. I was in the Daiken fandom, and I had a lot of great friends there as well as awesome writers and reviewers. It was a good time.

5. I occassionally ship him with TK. I don't think I've ever shipped him with anyone else, really... The pairing isn't one of my OTPs or anything, but I like it well enough.

6. His haircut. >_> And clothing. The poor kid is in the negative for fashion sense. About his character, I don't think there is anything I'd change. He is who he is.

7. We might get along, but I don't think we'd be close friends. I doubt we'd have a lot in common.

8. No to both.

9. Not really, no... there are more interesting characters to hype about in Digimon 02.

10. No. He might even be the least popular.
