Extra update today! I have been watching Card Captor Sakura episodes all afternoon! I've still got two more to watch - and just three more to download before I have all the episodes between 50 and 70. Not to mention a bunch before then. Woo hoo!
I just watched episode 60 - the one when Meiling returns from Hong Kong... so that Syaoran can tell her that he has to break their engagement because he likes Sakura. He was nice about it and all, but... Poor Meiling! I didn't think I'd feel sorry for her because she was obnoxious a lot of the time, and possesive, and selfish... But, she really did like Syaoran. And she took it pretty well, until she got to Tomoyo's house. Of course, Tomoyo would understand - she's got the same thing going, doesn't she? Just letting the one you like the best be with someone else because that way they'll be happy.
It's sad, though... and I thought it was sad that Meiling was crying so much, and Tomoyo was just sitting there with that little understanding smile on her face...
Wah!
Anyway, I love that episode. And I like Meiling a lot better, even though I already liked her because of the second movie. I just thought the way she said it... Talking about how she couldn't even hate Sakura, and couldn't hate Syaoran... it was sad. And Tomoyo, of all people, would understand. Tomoyo's one of the nicest characters on CCS, I think.
And, I found a CCS music video to this song - it was called Syaoran's Confession. Actually, it fit really, really well. It was an excellent video. And the song is really good for it, I think. Then I felt sorry for Syaoran, too.
And then you have to feel sorry for Sakura because of her confession to Yukito, and then Yukito for his uncertainty over Touya... geez! You have to feel sorry for everyone on this show! Except Touya. And Kero. And Eriol. And... okay, maybe not everyone. But lots of people.
I'm glad Meiling and Tomoyo became friends. I think they'll be very good friends, too. So at least something good came of the whole business.
I really want to see episode 64 - it just downloaded. This is the one where their class goes on a trip to the ski resort. At least, that's what I think they do. There is skiing and sitting around in the cabin by a fire. I think it looks neat! I had a trip like that when I was in elementary school, and I loved it! But ours was only during the day, and it looks like theirs is overnight. Lucky!
And episode 61 is another Christmas episode. I didn't know there were two Christmas episodes in CCS... I already saw the first one, episode 35, with the Firey card capture. I think I might save this one until it's closer to Christmas.
Of course, that could just be an excuse to watch episode 64 first. Hehe... I'm like that sometimes.
