Well, V's birthday lasted until five o'clock this morning. And I thought I couldn't pull all-nighters any more. Hah! So there! I stayed up until six driving everyone home. I probably could've stayed up later - and tried some of that oreo cookie cereal - but it was time to be moving on.
We payed a 3-hour game of monopoly. And it actually ended. I won; everyone went bankrupt except for me. And I was the one with the least property. I guess I landed on the Free Parking too many times. Hehe.
Also, we watched 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade'. I forgot how good that movie was. Gotta love Indy. We also watched 'Clueless', which was fun just for the sheer brainless-ness of it. I hope I never turn out like any of those girls, that's all I have to say. And, we watched 'The NeverEnding Story', which I haven't seen in a long time. Sarah (V's friend, not my best friend Sarah) was telling us about her month-long trip across Europe. I'm so jealous! One day I have to go to Europe.
I just read the latest chapter of Riisha's fantabulous fic, "A Midsummer Nightmare", too, so I am in an excellent mood. A great night, great fic, and now I'm going to be going to see a great movie.
That's right! Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. TONIGHT!
I can't wait! I'm so excited about seeing this movie, it's insane. This was my favorite of the books, so I'm really, *really* looking forward to it. Plus, I hear there is more Aragorn in this one. Mmm... excuse me while I drool... And we'll get to see Frodo and Sam making their journey into Mordor. I just know this movie is going to leave us with a horrible cliffhanger, too - considering where the second book ends. But I will love it too much for that to matter.
This book has been among my favorites since I was eleven years old. I love how they've done the movie.
We're doing our secret santa gift exchange among the four of us tonight, too. I think my present's pretty good... I hope so, anyway. I tried to get something she'd want. I have absolutely no clue who got me, so I guess the 'secret' part actually worked this year. Hehe!
