1. Why do you dislike #11 so much? Takato/Ruki
Something about the dynamics, I think. The 6th movie annoyed the crap out of me, too, because for the whole series they're pushing Takato/Juri as much as they possibly can, and suddenly - wow - they throw some Takato/Ruki at us. And also Ruki screaming for Takato to help her was so ridiculously OOC for her it was retarded. I love Ruki's character, and for me Takato/Ruki has come to represent the worst of what people can turn her into in fic.
2. Who do you know that ships #13? Monk/John
No. I haven't really looked, though. I'm... kind of afraid of what I might find if I look into fic for this pairing.
3. What would be your ideal scenario for couple #3? Simon/Nia
Oh my... Well, I would've loved it if she had lived at the end, and their wedding had been the beginning of their life together rather than the end (highlight for spoilers). That pairing was so sweet and their faith in each other was so touching. I loved every second of them.
4. What is your favorite moment for #1? Syaoron/Sakura
This is going to be really obvious, I'm afraid. My favorite moment is from the manga, where he confesses his feelings for her. He says (in the middle of the bridge, looking so serious), "I'm in love with you" and on the next panel, "That's all I wanted to tell you" and then in the next (with her looking utterly shocked and completely speechless) "Be careful going home". I think it's that last line that did it. Heh.
5. How long have you been following couple #6? Jenrya/Takato
Since I started watching Tamers, pretty much. They just clicked in my head; it made sense. I don't know how else to explain it.
6. What's the story with #8? What made you stop caring? Kaoru/Howard
Honestly, I just found I had other people I prefer them both to end up with. I won't say who, but it may or may not be obvious.
7. Which ship do you prefer--#2 or #4? Ken/Daisuke or Akira/Hikaru
What a question. I like them both, of course. However, it never crossed my mind to reply with anything other than Ken/Daisuke. They were an iconic pairing in my fandom existense.
8. You have the power to make one ship non-existent. Choose from #10 or #12. Takeru/Daisuke or Heero/Relena
Definitely Heero/Relena. Takeru/Daisuke doesn't bother me all that much, and its fans are generally easy to get along with. Heero/Relena grates on my nerves. If there was a possible way to remove Relena from the series altogether, I would take it. She's ill developed and her mannerisms and motivations irritate me to no end. I'm not really even a hardcore shipper of Heero with someone else. I just really dislike Miss Relena, and the pairing of her and Heero is even worse than her alone.
9. What interests you about #14? Crono/Marle
I... don't even know. They're pretty darn predictable in terms of canon. They meet through coincidence, fight together, he saves her, she saves him, they get married in the cutscene at the end of the game. I just kind of like it, I guess? Lucky me, I get to act it out since I'm cosplaying as Marle for AE next year, and Cody will be Crono... (let's ignore the fact that Cody ships Crono/Lucca. Anika is going as Lucca. Three years ago this would have upset me. I find it amusingly ironic now, in light of that)
10. When did you stop liking #7? Hiroshi/Kasumi
Almost as soon as I stopped writing fanfic in this fandom. I think I basically ended up shipping them by default because 1) some of my friends liked it and 2) they make a nice default side pairing to Shigeru/Satoshi. Meh.
11. Did your waning interest in #9 kill your interest in the series? Taichi/Sora
Haha, oh god no. If anything, after I decided I really didn't care about this pairing, I got MORE interested in the series. I went after other pairings instead.
12. What's a song that reminds you of #5? Naru/Mai
Hmm... someone did a video for them to 'Ever Dream' by Nightwish. It seems to fit (of course, I never really get Nightwish lyrics, so who knows?). Spoilers to explain: Mai confuses Naru with his dead twin brother Gene, who appears in her dreams. She thinks herself in love with Naru, but the moments that push her deeper into this are really in her dreams, not so much in reality. I like this pairing anyway, because I imagine Naru developing feelings for her (and not admitting it, of course) and then figuring she loves his brother instead. It's deliciously tragic.
13. Which of these ships do you love the most right now?
It varies, depending on what mood I'm in and what I feel like watching or reading.
14. Which do you dislike the most?
Heero/Relena, for the reasons listed above.
15. If you could have any of these pairings double date, who would they be?
Ehhhhh... it would be funny to see Naru/Mai with Ken/Daisuke if only for the Battle of Tragic Geniuses with Brother Issues. Mai and Daisuke would probably empathize with each other, too.
16. Have #2 kissed yet? Elaborate if yes. Ken/Daisuke
Um, no. Canonically, Ken marries Miyako and Daisuke has a kid with some random woman we don't know and don't care about. In my mind, of course, this never happens.
17. Did #4 have a happy ending? Do you think one is likely? Akira/Hikaru
They didn't really have an ending at all... That show doesn't really need one. I'd imagine they are happy doing what they do together, and will continue to be happy...
18. What would make you start shipping #14? Crono/Marle
I guess if one of my friends liked it enough, and we got talking about it more.
19. If only one could happen, which would you prefer--#2 or #6? Ken/Daisuke or Jenrya/Takato
Both are extremely unlikely in shounen series targeted at ages 8-12 (or something like that). I guess I'd pick Ken/Daisuke if I had to pick one. I'd like to see them both happen.
20. You have the power to decide the fate of #10. What happens to them? Takeru/Daisuke
Nothing. They just never happen. They both end up with different people. They're friends, of course, but there was never anything else between them.
