My sewing machine broke last night. It's less than two weeks before the convention and I still have to do a scarf and headband for Cody, plus a whole bodysuit for J.
What's happened is it looks like it's sewing, but it doesn't actually leave any thread in the material. I have tried rethreading the needle and then I tried taking the bobbin out and redoing that - which didn't work, because the thread on the needle will no longer pick up the thread from the bobbin.
Any suggestions from seasoned seamstresses would be much appreciated... I don't know how long it will take to have it repaired, so I'm hoping I can fix it myself if possible.

I'll ask my mom about it

Gail (Cody's mom) is going to lend me hers for the time being, so I will be able to get costume stuff done. I'll take mine in to have it looked at and get an estimate for repairs later.
Hopefully it's covered under warranty, but I doubt it. I probably broke it somehow. It might even be cheaper to just get a new one.
