My news from last week: dustwing is allowing me to help judge a fanfic contest! I hope we get a lot of entries. It ends on July 15th. I'm pretty confidant I can handle it; it'll be a nice break from wedding stuff.

I'm psyched! I've never judged a contest before; this will be fun!

also, somewhat related, totally excited about Rast on FF.net submitting some stuff. Her stories are not without nitpicks, but, I dig the emotion XP I totally got excited when I saw "The Price of Falling" got updated. So uh, lol, keep my enthusiasm in check yes? XP XP XP

This icon is a ref! XD Cody and I had ourselves drawn anime-style at a con. I have a bigger version used in my LJ layout.

Seriously, this is gonna be awesome! I'm not very good at one-liners, but I like the judging of awesome. XD I also wouldn't mind giving off this sense of 'fear us, we're judges, mwahahaha'.

... but I'm weird like that. XD

I also love Rast's writing - yes, there are a few things about it that I can pick at, but that's true of any fic, really. And she does well with emotions. I admit I was excited to see that she'd updated "The Price of Falling", too. Hehe.
