DVDs!!!!!!!
I got my DVDs today. When I got home, I had just enough time to run up to the post office and pick them up. Three DVDs of Weiss Kreuz and three DVDs of Orphen Revenge.
Score!
I'm watching Weiss right now. Just watched episode one. The picure is so clear and wonderful... ah, DVD quality... I love it! However, the same old subbing mistakes are there, plus more. Aya, Ken, and Omi escaped intact, but Yohji's name went from Vohbi to Vohji to Yojiji.
And all in one episode.
Comments on Omi's vacationing outfit: It is hard to believe that there are people out there who think he's straight.
Next on the list of episodes: The display of Aya's mysterious magically appearing sword! It comes to him when he needs it. Either that or he's got it folded up and hidden under that ugly orange sweater he favors. I call that his 'go away and leave me alone' sweater. That's why he wears it all the time.
Then we see why Yohji is badly in need of therapy, and after that we get to watch Ken get jerked around. Omi escapes this until episode seven - lucky him. But they must have been saving up, because after that they really let him have it.
I've seen ten seconds of Ouka footage, and I already can't wait to see the episode where she *dies*.
Yes, I'm petty. Her voice gets on my nerves. That and her throwing herself at Omi... That's MY bishounen slave! It says so on my badge. So hah.
And... that's about all.

Ahh the human checkers episode. The ending of it made me laugh my head off. Why?
Omi: *deadpan* Aya-kun has problems.
I also think Omi might have split personalities. Why? Because he told himself 'Start the mission, Bombay.' and because it would be even more interesting if he did.

Just watched the human chess episode. Not much to comment on. I'll watch some more episodes. Next up: Yohji in spandex! Good thing his weapon is wire... I'd like to see someone hide a sword on *that* without making it glaringly obvious.
They *did* manage to get Yohji's name right in the last episode, though. That's a step in the right direction.
And it's not just 'problems'. It's 'Problems'. With a capital 'P'. That means more than just ordinary problems. :) Then again, I think the whole Weiss team has Problems.
Or should I say... the Byce team????
Fansubs are fun. ^^

I especially liked 'Yojiji'. That sounds like a dance of some sort.

I found the thing about Yohji's ever-changing name most amusing. Do let us know if the wackysubs get worse as the DVDs go on . . . that often happens. Saint Seiya went from "Well, it's not *that* bad" in the first disc to, "You trampled my squamas!" by the end of the series.

A lot of the mistakes are names. Ken was apparently addressed as 'Kase' twice during the fourth episode. And Kase was called Persia a couple of times. I have no idea how that happened... it just seems a little odd.
Definitely interesting, though.
