Well, I finished reading all that's up for the Orphen manga. It's... not as good as the anime. Not by half. But at least now I've seen it. So it's all good.

I also finished watching the Yami no Matsuei dub, after which I immediately went and ordered the next volume, for as soon as it comes out - March 11, I think. I can't wait until the King of Swords arc! Muraki with his crappy voice hitting on Tsuzuki... haha! Everyone else's voice, I liked... it was just Muraki. I even liked the deep-voiced Gushoushin. (although I was relieved to see that the other one had a higher voice)

I'm going to have to get the whole series. I *have* to.

Anyway, in other news, I'm trying to pull together a fic as Lady Cosmos' birthday gift. I feel bad for not being able to write that KenxOmi fic... so if and when I get around to finally writing the unusual place fic, it's got her name on it. I just hope I can get some kind of fic done in time.

I'm trying to write a Majic/Orphen. It's not easy... I might just give up and write a humorous Orphen fic. We'll see how it goes tonight.

I have one day. I can do it, right? Right?

Bleh...

Our next computer assignment isn't up yet, so right now I have some time to play with. Which is a good thing.

I reacted pretty much the same way to the Yami dub. The cast was exceptionally good, and I even got used to the basso profundo Gyoshoshin fast, because the person could *act*, as could the whole cast . . . with the exception of Muraki. You're right, he's the weak link in the dub, because he plays the character far too much like a stereotypical, over-the-top villain. I'm hoping he has his act toned down by King of Swords, or Kyoto will be flirting with disaster.

It's so obvious that they actually took time to study the original, unlike most dubs. I mean, Hisoka's voice actor matches the original seiyuu's inflections almost *perfectly*. And the chemistry between Tsuzuki and Hisoka, which I'd feared would be squashed into oblivion by a combination of bad dubbing and American puritanism, is still there.

I already have the next volume on order from www.deepdiscountdvd.com. Less than $20!
