Hmm... thought maybe I'd listen to this song this morning, since it's what I'm naming my fic after.

That's right: the new fic will officially be called 'Obsession'. Mostly because of Orphen, but partly for Majic's parents. See where obsessions get you? You end up dismantling someone *else's* life.

Poor Majic.

My last entry got a lot of comments... scoreness! I guess people are willing to talk about it with me when I get mentioning couples I don't like. Hehehe... Too bad I don't have anything interesting like that today.

Awwww... oh well.

I made Jer watch some more Orphen last night - the original series this time. That was kinda fun - well, for me it was. I don't know about him... I think he prefers Revenge, like me.

Maybe because I lose patience with Cleao way too easily in the original series. And the way the last few episodes seem to lean toward an Orphen/Cleao pairing really makes me shudder. Granted, it's fairly one-sided, but still!

Eh, whatever.

Anyway, I have part one of Obsession finished, and I'm working on part two. That part is going to amuse me, I think. I just find the idea of "stalker" Orphen really, really funny.

This fic is also begging for a lemon scene.

Oh yeah, and I'll get around to having Orphen and Majic *meet* each other in part three. Really.

It isn't that I won't comment unless you mention pairing you don't like! ^__^ I'm only that childish on Tuesdays when there's a full moon. It was just that your WK comments seemed to echo sentiments I've seen in various parts of the fandom. And I wouldn't exactly call it an *essay* that I'm going to post, it's more of a semi-opinionated demi-rant. <.< Boy, that's a lot of hyphens. The only current Ran/Ken fics I can think of that I've enjoyed are P.S. Speare's "Upon a Painted Ocean" which is AU, and Shiori's "New World Order." For the latter, I don't completely agree with her characterisations, but...

And I really enjoyed the Prologue/Part I of "Dragon of Twilight." I meant to leave a review, but I got distracted by a Lit Theory assignment. The prologue, especially, hinted at just enough to make me want more, and I liked the interaction between Cleao and Majic you had in Part I. As much as I don't like Cleao/Orphen, I do like the girl (probably because she reminds me a *lot* of myself in her earnestness) and I like to see her portrayed...decently. In character. 'Twas nice. ^__^

Eh, well, I though it was going to be a pairing essay, but it's not. It's just a general WK essay and my take on plot/characters. I didn't really delve into pairings. Damn thing was already four pages long... But, feel free to skim. However, I do enjoy hearing other people's takes on characterisations. I like discussions like that - as long as their with intelligent people.

As far as Orphen+Cleao goes...well, it's not that I don't like to read them as being together, it's that every fic I've read so far has them wildly out of character. In fact, another oneshot fic I'm working on has them discussing their relationship, how they feel, where Majic fits in, and why it won't work. I find Cleao to be intelligent and capable, and under different circumstances - and if Majic weren't involved - I could see them together. I'm just such a canon-bitch lately that I can't stand OOC stuff. ;-p

Well, it makes sense to me... But, that could be the weird combination of Pepsi, ichigo Pocky, codeine, and not enough sleep talking. ^__^
