Rent-a-Quester
Everyone seems to like that name better than 'Questers for Hire', so it gets top billing for this entry. Hehe...
Anyway, those two names are going to be featured in my next fanfic. They're places that hire out questers - to find stuff, ya know. Most questers work in groups or pairs, but some work individually. My featured pair are a swordsman with a sword that has either a curse or a blessing on it (they're not quite sure which) and a mage with a special ability that hasn't revealed itself yet.
And the two who come in later and travel with them are a swordsman with a pendant that makes him invulnerable to magic and a water-dweller who was afraid to come out of his pond home because "some terrible accident could happen".
There's also a swordswoman and a mage whose special ability is to create invisibility auras. Then there's the priestess of the Ancient Goddess who has a map to this jewel everyone's looking for but doesn't know how to read it.
Oh yeah, and the guardians. Haha. They were split up by some disaster that no one's really sure about.
The guardian of the mountain pass is a witch who turns all cute guys who try to get past her into marble statues and uses them to decorate her home.
The guardian of the passage through the forest is a spirit who lost his memory when he was separated from the others and can't remember what he's supposed to be guarding.
The guardian of the caverns leading to the underground lake is a sorcerer who turned evil and bitter after the guardians were split up because one was his lover and didn't return to him.
And then the keeper of the jewel is a dragon in human form.
So, Digimon fans... try and guess who everyone is. Come on... Guess! (except you, because I told you already ^_~)
