I knew I'd get there with Hunter X Hunter eventually. Too cute and too fun and too many interesting characters.

EPISODE 18! SHOWER SCENES! KURAPIKA ANGST! NAKED LEORIO! AND OMG GON AND KILLUA ARE SO *DAMN* CUTE!!! I MUST SQUEAL LIKE A RABID FANGIRL OVER ALL FOUR OF THEM!!!

All right... that aside...

As cute as Gon and Killua are in their adorable pre-slash friendshippy thing, I really have to say that after episode 20, Leorio/Kurapika is my OTP. I rarely like pairings with more than a 1-2 year age difference - I think the one with the biggest gap was Orphen/Majic. Same with the difference in size - it marks too much of a distinction between "seme" and "uke" that tends to bug me. The dynamics betweeen Leorio and Kurapika absolutely slay me, though; I totally couldn't resist. Kurapika's reaction to what happened to Leorio on the ship just kinda firmed it up.

You'd think this show was about slash, the way I go on about it. It's not. It's about fighting. Which looks really cool onscreen, but it's not worth fangirling over. So, you get the slash report. Heh.

On a completely unrelated note, I wish Hanso was in the series for longer. Ninjas are cool.

I didn't much like Hisoka in the beginning, but I began to love him. Tompa annoyed the shit out of me, but I liked him as... well, the type to dislike. :D

I guess there is one character I do hate with a passion. >_> But he doesn't show up until almost the end of the series and is in the OVA.

I don't know of any place to download them... One of my friends told me she got ahold of the third musical... and the only way I have the first and third was through a fansub site thing. (The seiyuu for Leorio, Kurapika, Gon, Killua and Hisoka all do the rolls for the musical! :D It made me happy... and they all fit so brilliantly!)

I can't imagine ever loving Hisoka. ^^; But, well, you never know, I guess. I don't like Tompa either, but I'd take him over Hisoka any day.

Which character is that? I've read spoilers, so I know who a few of the people I have yet to meet are.

Too bad. ^^; I don't think I'd pay to get those musicals... at least, not at the moment... but they DO sound like fun. I wish I could see them.

Maybe I'll look around online and see if I can find them anywhere - for future reference, if nothing else. Does that fansub site still have them?

Oh, I know who that is. ^^ He's the leader of the Genei Ryodan, isn't he? Fruity-looking guy with the fur collar? Yeah, I have seen a couple fics with him. Doesn't Kurapika want to kill him, though? You know, due to the whole wiping out of his tribe in order to sell their eyes on the black market thing?

*shrugs* Some people think that all-encompassing hatred is really hot, I guess.

The third musical is the best. :) It really is. As much as I love parts of the first one, the third is best. (Though, best to watch the first one first because it isn't as good... personal opinion, that is.)

Rival sex is yummy. :D But this is one case where I don't like it...

Rival sex is good, because it tends to be what I call wall!sex. (as in, up against a wall, going at it like there's no tomorrow) But it doesn't have to be rival sex to be wall!sex. I think Leorio/Kurapika could end up being wall!sex. They're the kind of couple that would stretch out the sexual tension until it's about to snap.

I have yet to see anything of Kuroro, but I think there's a different kind of tension there. Then again... bias. ;)
