20 OTPs? Are you crazy?

I've seen this kicking around - I just have to assume it's a meme, but it didn't come with instructions. However, the description kind of says it all. I assume that you pick 20 OTPs and list them.

Like hell I have 20 OTPs. You guys get ten. I think third_requiem only listed five on her journal anyway. Granted, she actually gave reasons for each of them...

Hunter X Hunter is the only anime that has two... huh. Does it mess up the definition of OTP if you have two in one fandom? I always thought OTP meant a pairing that you wouldn't want to see broken up for any other pairing, so I figured they'd both fit.

Yaaay Kit x Nita!! Although I liked the idea of Nita x Ronan a lot too. I was totally disappointed and a bit annoyed when DD didn't seem to address anything about it once that kiss was over >.>;; *waiting for future books*

And I keep seeing this meme everywhere... suppose I might as well do it too. Won't be OTPs though, just pairings XD;

Yeah, if I were listing all the pairings I've liked, there would be more than 20. ^^; There were one or two other OTPs I could've put on here, but 10 is a nice even number and I wouldn't have made it to 15, so... yeah. :)

I wouldn't split up Kit x Nita. Even though I did think Ronan was cool.

yeah, I think I'll just change it to favourite pairings, otherwise my pairing list would be way past 20 as well.

I'm kind of wishing Kit and Nita would just sort out their relationship already though... I'm kind of wondering just where DD is going with that. Especially with the way they've been separated and then thrown together again a couple of times in the later books.

Even with favorite pairings, I'd have a lot. ^^; I think it's easier for me to go with OTPs. Especially in the case of Digimon, where I like a lot of pairings.

I'd be fine if Kit and Nita didn't officially get together in the books. But as you said, DD seems to be trying to take it somewhere. Guess I'll wait and see.

Yeah, Digimon is my whore pairing D: I have so many different pairings I like for 02, I don't even know why I have that many that I like >_>

and I wouldn't mind if they didn't officially get together either, I'd just kind of like to know already. *very impatient* XD;

oh, and from what I've understood, OTP = one true pairing, meaning that you can only see those two people together with each other and absolutely no one else. Like, Anakin x Obi-Wan is the only real OTP I have, because I can't see them being with anynone else (Anakin x Padme is just a joke on Lucas' part. It has to be! RotS was nothing but slash, I swear).

I ended up digging through series that I don't necessarily fangirl over, but that I love immensely all the same. One came from me staring at my bookshelf and going 'oh-my-books! I love you'. If I wasn't a fan of so many things, I doubt I would have managed the 20. Except for Bleach. I could have done 20 OTPs on Bleach which is rather frightening.

'cause I'm lazy and I just checked my email and found your last comment to me - hee! I know Orphen. I only managed to see ten or so episodes, but I had great love for it. And I think I read your fic on it, too.

I wrote three fics for Orphen, but I'm glad you read and liked one of them. That's always nice to hear. Also, Orphen Revenge is a hundred times better than the original Orphen.

I don't really have other OTPs, in series I fangirl over or not. Because most of the time, I either think they could possibly end up with someone else, or I don't really care if they do or don't. So it doesn't count as an OTP.

These ones are all pairings I would not want to see - and really, couldn't see - split up.

It's been such a long time since I actually read Orphen fic that it's blurred together, but the one I remember that was yours was the Majic transported to Orphen's world AU. ♥

As I said, my definition of OTP is a very flexible thing, because I just can't take it seriously concerning my own favored pairings no matter what. Certain ones - Renji and Rukia, Trowa and Quatre - I do find it near impossible for them to have a different partner, but if I kept to the No One Else For Them I would probably only have three pairings to list.

Oh, the long fic. That one was fun to write. Glad you liked it!

I actually get pretty possessive of my pairings most of the time, so I tend to wind up with several where I just can't see them with anyone else. (not that it's not possible, it's just that I don't want to, so in my mind, that's how it is) That's what my definition of OTP is, anyway. If it's a pairing I like but I can see them with other people, I'd just call it a 'favorite'.

Not that the definition is important - everyone's got their own idea of 'one true pairing', and it's fandom, so it's not a good idea to take it THAT seriously anyway.
