I had to share this

Fuck it. This subject is WAY too controversial.

I can't seem to say what I want to about it, either, without thinking it's come out totally wrong.

Ignore this post. PLEASE.

*snorts*
Nothing that they say makes any difference.
It's fiction. Not reality. Anybody who writes these fics will most likely shudder at the thought of anything bad happening to somebody in reality.
*raises hand* I've written rape fics. Rape happening in reality? I want to kill the *edit out much swearing and profanity*
Either somebody is exploring a fantasy using the characters (to find MANY people like this outside the fandom community just check out bondage.com. LOTS of rape fantasy floating around there!) . Or they're exploring the phycological issues.
So yeah. That person needs to mind their own buisness. And maybe perhaps not read fics they don't aprove of and find ones they do?

LOL
What was the point you were trying to make than?
Keep it simple and in a few lines. Isolate your main points.

Than you expand upon them. Like in an essay. Than come back to that point. Than you'll know you made your point clearly.

The idea in a discussion is to get your idea out there. Not to sway everyone else TO your idea. That's pretty much impossible.

lol which is why I say Plan your thoughts before saying them. Like you would in a fic. Plan your words to make the most impact if being clear in your opinion is important to you.
Also don't back down.
There will be people who misinterpret you or disagree. It happens to the best of writters.
