Writer's Meme: it's ok to pimp yourself out. Post a list of your top five favorite fics you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same. And by five, we apparently mean three.

... And by five people, it means 'tag no one and whoever wants to can do it'.

1. Piece of a Legend (Original - slash) - My masterpiece. I really love the story I decided on. This is probably my favorite out of everything I've written. I realize the 'coming of age' theme has been done many many times, but I never get tired of it and I wasn't really as overt as I could've been with it. There's a lot going on in this story, anyway. It's one of my few attempts at hidden meaning, and I think it's shaped up pretty good (though not totally completed yet and not posted on my site or Fiction Press). LINK

2. Believe It or Not (Digimon - Ken/Daisuke, Takeru/Hikari, Taichi/Yamato) - This one was never all that popular, but I love it. It's an AU fic (I wrote a LOT of those) based on certain fairy lore, which I am a sucker for. I love fairies and all Irish legends about them. The plot was very loosely based on 'The Hunter's Moon' by O.R. Melling, which I was a big fan of for a long time. I think everything turned out as I wanted it, and I can re-read it with pleasure. 3. Going Under (Hikaru no Go - Akira/Hikaru) - The idea was just SO there. I wanted to play with it. I sometimes think the romantic interaction was iffy in this one, but the plot was everything I wanted it to be. I managed to actually tie it together pretty good. I wrote the thing, and it still gives me shivers sometimes, too. LINK

4. Howard, again (Uninhabited Planet Survive - no pairings, spoilers up to episode 43) - This one is so short, and SO simple, but there's something about it I like. It's the first ficlet I wrote for this series, a character exploration, but I think it captured what I wanted it to capture. I snuck a couple of things in there that some people might not notice, but that's okay. I was completely satisfied with it. LINK

5. Switch (Digimon Tamers - Jenrya/Takato, Hirokazu/Kenta, Ryo/Ruki) - It was just fun. I enjoyed every second of writing this fic, and I enjoy re-reading it. I think I did fairly well with the characterizations, and it more or less came out how I wanted it to. The interactions were a lot of fun, and everyone got to be fantastically confused by being stuck in the wrong bodies. I love it. LINK

6. Ground Level (Digimon - co-authored with girl_starfish - Taichi/Yamato, Ken/Daisuke, others) - It worked out so perfectly. I still like to read this one over again (though I mostly read Louise's parts). It was just so much fun to write, and the premise was so cool! I love everything we came up with for this, and just wish we'd both had time and inspiration to do the sequels we wanted to. LINK

I actually really liked Believe or Not. I had no idea it was loosely based on a book though. I think I shall go hunt this book down someday >D

It was a good book at the time. ^^ I haven't read it recently, though... And I didn't follow the plot very closely. If I did, it would've gone on much longer, Hikari would've actually been immortal, and Takeru would've gone on to end up with someone else. XD (Not to mention, Taichi and Yamato wouldn't even be in there - but I probably would've included them anyway)

Truthfully, I could've done it. I can see several ways I could've. But I didn't, and I like it better the way it is.

Well, it was thanks to... I think Rune Master? that I found the Young Wizards series, and I love those books to pieces, so even if it doesn't follow the plot closely I don't think I'll mind XD It'd be interesting to read what inspired the fic, if nothing else :D

And I really like it the way it is too; I'm glad you chose to write it that way~

I just looked at the story and realized I quoted 'The Hunter's Moon' in there, too. XD It's the book Takeru is reading when Daisuke's phone call interrupts him in chapter one.

The Young Wizards series is still one of my favorites. I'm not totally caught up on the books in the series yet, either... @_@ But the first three stood out for me; they were the best.

Damn. Why do I have the feeling Aaren is now claimed like Tucker is?

They were always after Aaren, but there is a difference between what's happening to Tucker and what's happening to Aaren. I'll be getting more into how They work in future chapters. Chapter 4 marks the end of the first part of the story. The second part starts in chapter 5.

Actually, I have chapter 5 done, but I don't think it's posted anywhere. ^^; There are pieces of it up on http://www.greatestjournal.com/~silverthunder but that's about it. I'm working on chapter 6.

I know exactly how this story will end - I can picture it in my head so clearly. I've just had some writer's block over the past months and haven't been able to get there yet.

Anyway, though, I'm glad you were interested in it! ^^ It's number one on the list because it's the project of mine that I like the absolute most, so it makes me really happy when people say they have read it and like it.

Yeah, I ventured to your greatestjournal and read those parts. I plan to read that other one soon, Game Over.

I love your style of writing.

And I know the feeling of having the story in your head but you can't write it. I just got the greatest idea with a twist at the end but I can't seem to sit down and write it. It doesn't help that my sister likes to poke fun at me at every second.

I'm glad you put "Going Under" here, because it deserves to be here. It's one of the fics I always rec when people ask me about good stuff in the HikaGo fandom.

My favorite of your fics has always been "The Right Moves." In fact, it's one of my favorite Hikaru no Go fics ever. :3
