Anime Rec?

Does anyone feel like recommending a good anime series to me? Something I may have missed but could potentially like? I'm still watching Escaflowne right now, but I'm not sure what I'm going to watch after. Tactics is a possibility, but I haven't decided yet if I like that series.

For a list of all of the anime I have seen, including series I'm watching right now and series I have dropped or put on hold, refer here. Note that I can possibly be persuaded about anime I've dropped or put on hold - if you think I haven't given a series a fair chance, please argue for it!

I don't care what genre really. Just any recs.

I second the vote for Seirei no Moribito (we called it Guardian of the Sacred Spirit) - it's really made of total awesome.

I wouldn't be doing my duty if I didn't rec Tantei Guaken Q (Detective Academy Q) I absolutely love it, it's got loads of the usual detective cliches but it makes them different and it makes them work. Plus the characters are adorable and it's really fun.

Ayatsuri Sakon is pretty hard to find as far as I can tell but it's absolutely gorgeous. Another detective/mystery thing with creepy puppets. I love it to pieces.

Seirei no Moribito deserves all the recommendations, it really does.

I really, REALLY hope you like Tantei Gakuen Q because I love it to pieces and there's not enough people out there who do like it. The live action is a lot of fun too but it's a VERY condensed version of the anime so there are lots of spoilers quite quickly. On the other hand, as the anime does the thing lots of mystery animes do and has several bits where the plot is just "mystery of the week", this can be an advantage.

Well, after going to bed last night, I thought of two more things I should recommend, so I shall. Then I'll shut up, promise! :D

Jyu Oh Sei - I really, REALLY loved this one. It's fairly short, gorgeous and I found it really exciting and creepy. I really need to watch that one again some time.

Baccano! - I haven't seen all of this one, we're watching it in my Anime Soc at the moemnt. It's a bit confusing and weird at first but you sort of settle into it. It's really funny and really dramatic.

Are you at all familiar with Yami no Matsuei? Err... if so, just let me know and disregard the rest of this.

I've been contemplating doing an Ayatsuri Sakon and Yami no Matsuei crossover, but I've not plotted out an idea any deeper than Sakon and Ukkon get invited to perform at Oriya's 'establishment' and bump into doll-fetish!psycho-killer!Muraki there. (Also, is it just me, or does Sakon look similar to Muraki's dead brother?)

My usual partner in crime never got into the series, so I was wondering if you'd be interested in helping brainstorm ideas (with the foreknowledge that unless the fic turns out less than 10,000 words long, it has only a 25% chance of being completed in this decade).

*facepalm* Hopefully, it's obvious that what I meant to say was, 'If you're not familiar with YnM, please disregard the message.'

Ugh. Clearly, I should have slept more last night.
