FMA: Brotherhood
So yesterday I was playing some of the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood opening videos (I haven't actually watched most of the series yet, I just love opening videos) and Cody commented that since the anime is just about finished now, maybe we should watch it.
Cody never got all the way through the first FMA anime. He lost interest somewhere in there (not sure where, and he doesn't even remember). He was interested in the new one because it moves quicker and has more humor (although coming from the guy who re-watched Dragonball Z all the way through, I find the 'it moves quicker' part ironic). I like it because it follows the manga. I liked the first one too (that's kind of obvious, seeing as how I own all the DVDs). But I'm glad this one exists because I get to see Ling animated. Ling is highly amusing.
We got as far as episode 15 last night (started with episode 4, since we'd watched the first three a while back). That means Ling and May made their first appearance. Hee!
I'm looking forward to more.

I think it must be the angst content in the original FMA anime that made it seem so long for Cody. I mean, he watches DBZ and Naruto and they are both insanely long and notorious for dragging things out over multiple episodes. The original FMA was never that bad.
I gotta say, though, the new FMA anime has a much better flow and storyline. I miss the background music from the original, though.
I highly recommend adding FMA:B to your list of anime to watch. ;)
