Grabbed this one from

Akira/Hikaru from HnG.

I *love* the dynamics between these two - not just the fact that they're rivals, but the fact that they seem to compliment each other so well. It helps that their interaction is never dull, too - always on the same wavelength, but just enough off each other so that they disagree. It's great.
Honestly, I have a hard time seeing either Akira or Hikaru with anyone else. They expend so much energy in focussing on each other - that other person would have to be *super* understanding. And I have a hard time seeing anyone else manage to really understand what's going on between them - unless that person has such an intense rivalry as well, of course.
So, yeah. They're going to end up together in my mind, one way or another. Honestly, though, they were so slashy, sometimes I thought the author was doing it on purpose. I've seen porn with less sexual tension. (well, most porn has little or no foreplay, so that's not hard, but still)
I love Hikaru no Go... Damn, I need to watch an episode or two of this some time - it's been a while.

First of all... they're sleeping together! This is a fairly good basis for a relationship, because they're already in the sack, so they obviously find each other physically attractive, hm?
Anyway. Joking aside.
I do like the dynamics between these two, although I'll admit that I disliked them at first. Actually, I was sort of indifferent to Dearka - I disliked *Yzak* at first. He's a psycho, really - but it turns out he's a likable little psycho. :P Figures.
But it's possibly because of that that these two have such a well-balanced relationship, however you see it. Dearka's much steadier. Generally, I noticed, he seems to go along with whatever Yzak comes up with, but he's also there to provide a calming influence when Yzak throws a fit or spazzes out. (he does that a lot. Usually because of Athrun. Heh) If Yzak's storming out of the room, Dearka's usually right behind him. Coincidence? Or maybe he just likes/needs to be around to calm Yzak down.
Of course, it's my opinion that they're going off to have letting-out-pent-up-frustration sex, but that's beside the point. ;)
One of my favorite scenes between these two is very late in the series when they meet up again after Dearka becomes a member of the Archangel. I love Yzak's flashback scenes of Dearka and how he freaks out that someone is piloting Dearka's old suit. The confrontation between them was really neat, too - especially when you compare it to Athrun and Kira. Yzak and Dearka never actually do fight each other, because while Dearka's convictions are pretty firm now, Yzak's aren't. And in the end, he doesn't believe strongly enough in his cause to actually do it, I don't think.
It's not worth shooting down someone so important to him, in other words. ;)

First off, I never really became a fan of this couple. I read a couple of fics, and while I'll admit some people know how to handle it, I don't think I'll ever like the pairing just for itself.
It's not that I don't like the dynamics between them - I do. It's just that I somehow can't see them as anything but comrades or possibly friends. I think there's a glaring inequality hanging around there that they couldn't manage to get rid of even after Ed grows up a bit.
People have commented that Ed is mature for his age, and that is true in a lot of cases, but not in all cases. He still throws adolescent temper-tantrums, he sulks when things don't go his way, and he can still be fairly naive about some things, despite being more worldly in other cases.
By contrast, Roy is self-composed and worldly, waaaay beyond Ed in terms of experience, and his commanding officer to boot. Also, at the time when they met, Ed was a child, and despite Roy's obvious intention to treat him as an adult, hints of the fact that he still thinks of him as that child slip through the cracks here and there. I think it would be very hard to put aside that sort of controlling assumption, even after Ed grows up a bit.
This doesn't bode well for a healthy relationship. I'm not saying it's impossible, it's just that I don't see it myself.

Honestly, I think the first thing that attracted me about these two was just the amount of hints on the show. (Ken's head in Omi's lap, anyone?) Omi was already my favorite character, and I wanted someone to pair him off with. I *don't* like Youji/Omi, for reasons I won't get into. (this is about Ken/Omi, after all) I can't see Aya/Omi happening. Ken/Omi seemed considerably more plausible than any other yaoi pairing I saw on the show.
I still think that members of Weiss couldn't possibly have relationships with people outside, unless that person knew exactly who they were and was capable of keeping that secret. Keeping THAT kind of thing from someone you expect to share your life with? Unlikely. I honestly believe they're stuck with each other for romantic prospects, and while this might not be the greatest basis for a relationship, it's sadly kind of true.
However! I do like the dynamics between Ken and Omi. I can see them doing 'normal' things, trying to put aside the strain from their job for just a few precious moments. This is why I like them - the brief reprieve from all that angst. I don't think either Aya or Youji can provide that, because they deal with it in different ways. Ken and Omi are a little more on the same wavelength, so I think they're more capable of providing that bit of sanctuary for each other.
Aside from that, I love their interaction. They're so incredibly cute together! ^_^

This was actually the first yaoi pairing that I liked RIGHT away, without exception and with no stepping stones in between. (eg: I liked Taichi/Sora before I liked Yamato/Taichi, Satoshi/Kasumi before Shigeru/Satoshi) It helped that after watching the first couple of episodes of 02 and giving up, the first episode I saw when I came back to it was the first Jogress. It was like... sparkling lights shining, and a big voice announcing, "This is your couple." (of course, that could've been because it was about five in the morning and I was half-asleep in a room full of my half-asleep friends)
In any case, I adore the chemistry between Daisuke and Ken. They have a great balance, because I can see Ken being a steadying influence on Daisuke, and Daisuke providing Ken with the needed release from his own seriousness and personal angst.
Someone commented on a site I visited once that Ken probably finds Daisuke fascinating because he lacks Ken's sense of pride/shame. Daisuke will do things that might be emabarrassing without hesitation (ie, kneeling and begging) because they need to be done, and bounces back from it like it's nothing. Ken is an extremely proud person, even after he's redeemed, and I agree with the girl who did the write-up that he probably finds this lack of shame a bit bemusing. I think a great example of this is the scene from the fourth movie where Daisuke's begging some stranger to lend him a computer and Ken asks in this adorably confounded tone, "Daisuke... what are you doing?"
It's good for him, though - teaches him to laugh at life. Daisuke is a rare kind of person. Everyone should have someone like him around, especially if they take life as seriously as Ken does.
So... yeah. I still see it that way - Daisuke keeps Ken from driving himself crazy with stress and Ken keeps Daisuke from doing stupid, impulsive things that might get him in trouble. Even as friends, they have fantastic chemistry - I honestly can't see them being apart, though, after they get used to each other. I think they'd find separation hard.
I love these kind of dynamics in a relationship, too - because they're on such an equal footing. Neither one of them is going to be solely dependant on the other, and they know they're not going to get bored with each other. I could see a great mix of passion and familiarity - I think it's definitely a promising basis.
I also think I'd better stop now, before I go off on another tangent.

Eeeee! :D :D :D

I really like that scene. Poor Ken, he totally doesn't get it. Daisuke just wants to save Hikari. ^^

I wish my sister hadn't taped over all my episodes... even the dub would be better than nothing right now because I can hardly remember a thing. Wah. Of course, it has been nearly three years... oh my god. O_O when did that happen?

Of course, I'd still have the fansubs of the movies and the early episodes, but still. Man! Every now and then, I just *have* to go back and revisit Digimon. I can't exist without it.
As a side note, I think Expanding Horizons is one of the most boring fics I've ever written. >_> Bleh.

I LOVED it! *g* It was the first Digimon fic I'd read in years and I was like, "I gave this up because...?" ;_;

RUSSELLXED!

Haha, okay. Anyway. Yes, I like this pairing and no, I won't apologize, because it makes a hell of a lot more sense to me than Roy/Ed ever did or will. I call it my crack pairing, because Russell's an original anime character, so it can only ever be in anime context, and even then, it's not like they interact much.
But STILL.
The classic basis of "spazzy guy" and "cool smirking guy" - but on an equal footing, seeing as how Ed and Russell are the same age and are fairly close in maturity level (Ed's horrific experiences aside). They both act immature at times and older than their age at other times - I think a lot of the similarities may come from being orphaned children with younger brothers to look after.
I also think Ed's a walking target sometimes, because Russell seemed determined to aggravate him right from the start. Hehe. They butted heads immediately, probably because in a number of ways, their personalities are similar: stubborn, clever, cocky, and very, very protective of their siblings. But I think it's those similarities that will allow them to relate and will most definitely keep any relationship between them interesting.
Just as a note: my favorite piece of interaction between these two was when they met again in Central, and Russell says "Are you getting shorter?"

KKM: Konrad/Yuuri. Yuuri/Wolfram.
Apocripha/0: Jade/Platina (I DID NOT KNOW YOU WERE INTO THIS SERIES ♥)
+Anima: Crow/Husky. Senri + Nana

Hmm... Don't care much about Jade/Platina... Not too much of a fan of Senri + Nana... Konrad/Yuuri is boring - I suppose I could go into why I think so, but I've done that before and don't want to again... So Yuuri/Wolfram or Crow/Husky. Hm...
Okay, you get Yuuri/Wolfram. :) Here we go.
I like this pairing, because while it's typical of fandom, it's not all that typical of official yaoi anime. Yuuri and Wolfram could both be classied in standard yaoi material as 'uke' type. They're fairly short, they're slender - and Yuuri is wide-eyed and cute while Wolfram is just unbelievably *pretty*. If this were an atypical yaoi anime, one of them would need to have broader shoulders, or be taller, or whatever. Taking the stereotype even further, one of them should be experienced and worldly while the other was innocent and naive.
In other words, we take the extra equality that comes with a male/male pairing and throw it out the window - and then turn the pairing into one that is ridiculously unbalanced and would be annoying if it were het.
I'm not saying this can't work. I've seen some yaoi anime/manga that do this really well. (Gravitation comes immediately to mind) I'm just saying that it's not as interesting.
Wolfram and Yuuri is more of a fandom pairing, like I said. This is the kind of pairing I *look* for in anime that don't have official yaoi. It's like... Taichi/Yamato from Digimon. Or Heero/Duo from Gundam Wing. Akira/Hikaru from Hikaru no Go. Two people who are on an equal footing - in terms of physical size, experience, and maturity - and more or less look good together. And on top of that, they have interesting and heated dynamics - sort of like the above couples. I'd *love* to see more of this in official yaoi. I really would.
I should also mention that I find Wolfram's feelings really endearing. He acts like an adolescent (and I suspect in Mazoku terms, he sort of is) who's fallen in love for the first time and doesn't quite know how to deal with it. He's clingy at one point and standoffish the next. He covers his emotions with his pride half the time, and insults the object of his affections when he doesn't know what to do or say. It's absolutely adorable.

I also seem to have a rather strong liking for Gwendal/Gunther but the plot didn't catch me as much. It's still a nice little series, though XD
