Dec. 3rd, 2002 01:24 pmExam went horrible. Please don't ask - I really don't want to talk about it. I don't even want to think about it. Ick.
Oh well... it's over.
I had belly dancing this morning, and got my tape of music. Yay! Thank god, since next week is the last class until January. I'll want to dance over break, I know. And, I also got a belly scarf - which is one of those scarves that have the little jinglies all over them. It's soooo cool - makes noise whenever I do hip swings and knee shimmies. I love it! It makes the dancing even more fun.
I might get a costume at some point, but right now I'll wait and see what happens.
I'm working on some original stuff again. It's a different story from what I had planned - but this one struck me more vividly. I got it from a dream, and it actually came with a plot and characters. With my other story, I can really see the characters, but the plot is sort of crumbly. With this one, I see the plot, too. And I love the characters.
Teven: Very dark hair, elfin features. About average height, quick and small. Hazel-green eyes that change depending on his mood. He keeps to himself mostly, but he can't seem to stay out of trouble. If you talk to him, he's upbeat and cheerful. He has some issues with his sense of self. Fairly even-tempered and generally patient.
Dace: the main character. (the only one with a POV, I think) Dark red hair, grey eyes. A little taller than average, but a bit too thin for his height. He's friendly and approachable, but quiet. A little self-conscious about his appearance, and Tev tends to confuse him. Sometimes short-tempered, can be irritable and impatient.
Those are the two I *know* I want in there. There will be a girl coming in later in the story, but I haven't decided on her name, yet. I think she'll be about Dace's height, and thin, with long brown hair that's always back. And she'll be the no-nonsense type with a bit of a cynical/sarcastic side.
And I want to have Tyr in there. The guy that hits on a lot of people. I'm thinking that Dyre the wolf will be in there, and possibly Omen or Brian. It sort of ties in to the whole story. What I might do is set up Tev and Dace - and the girl, when she can - to become the successors to Brian, Tatyana, and Omen, and use the other story as sort of a prequel.
And Tyr will always sort of be on the sidelines, at least until I write out his story. That's when I'll bring Michael in. And then I'd have to write another prequel with Drew's back story, because he was the one who ran into Michael's older sister.
Yeah, I've got a whole universe planned around this. Brian and Tatyana come from Earth, Omen comes from Syph, Tyr is from Aesien, and Tev and Dace are from a place called Osmodia. I really like Osmodia, because I saw it so vividly in my dream. It's got four levels - Wind, Water, Earth, and Fire. And of course, Dash and Drew are from the BorderLands, where all the worlds come together. It's going to be great.
Erm... when I stop being lazy and start writing some of it.
