I am still impressed with the movie last night! Hehe... I was so tired after the movie, it hardly seemed real. But I had to drive people home. Now I am excited! I want to see it again!

Holy crap, it was good! I mean that!

You have to kinda forget the book, though. The basic idea is the same, but the movie's way different. But it worked! My god, did it work! The idea is still there. Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli search for Merry and Pippin, but end up getting caught in Rohan's affair and have cool battles. Meanwhile, Merry and Pippin meet up with Treebeard and the ents, who discuss what their part will be. And all the while, Frodo and Sam are traveling toward Mordor with Gollumn as their guide. Faramir interrupts their journey.

That all happens. How it all happens is quite different from the book. But it had the same effect, if you let it. And it's awesome!

It was a bit of a relief to see that they ended it a ways before the end of the second book. Because if they'd left it where the book left it, that would just have been too cruel. The ending was a bit of a cliffhanger, but it wasn't too bad.

The only thing I didn't like is the Elrond and Arwen stuff... He wasn't like that in the book, and there was no real reason to make him like that in the movie. It was kind of annoying. Looks like they're just unnecessarily complicating things. Poor Aragorn.

The movie focussed on Aragorn, which made it more exciting. (and more easy on the eyes - as I drool...) Thing is, though, I was looking forward to seeing more of Frodo and Sam. I don't want to take anything away from Aragorn's role, though, because I love Aragorn, and his parts were... well, awesome! It's just... The Two Towers was where Sam really got to shine, I think. And he did in the movie - I just wished there was more of it.

Why do these movies always seem too short? They should make them longer!

I already can't wait to see the extended version. And the next movie, while we're at it. A whole year? I'll never make it! And I think this is what I said last year, too.

I loved that movie! The Two Towers is still my favorite out of the trilogy! This movie just proves it! It was absolutely fantastic!

I was pleased to see Legolas - as V puts it - finally showing some sort of personality. And his moves were just pure gold. He got a chance to shine in this movie, too - which is good, because he was almost ignored in Fellowship. And Gimli's scenes were excellent. I would like this movie just for those two finally having actual roles, if nothing else. And I was pleased to see the competition between Gimli and Legolas still in there. Hehe. Perfect.

I can't WAIT to see it again!

And, you know, I seem to have found a man who knows what's important, because my very sweet boyfriend picked up a couple of tickets for us to go on Friday - before we even saw the movie last night.

Isn't he a nice boy?
