(no subject)

I finished watching the Fellowship of the Ring with commentary. Now I can't wait to get the commentary on The Two Towers. Yay! So much fun!

Hehe, yeah.

End of TTT: Almost ten thousand Uruk-hai destroyed. Merry no longer needs a name tag. Sam and Frodo are trying to get into Mordor. (isn't that what they were doing at the beginning of the movie?) Picked up Gollum. The army of Rohan is (more or less) at Gandalf's disposal. Isengard is beseiged by ents.

Everyone's accomplished something except Frodo and Sam.

I could just see a meeting with the four hobbits after TTT. Merry and Pippin: "Yeah, we met up with the ents, and convinced them to go to war. We're in control of Isengard right now. What about you guys?"

"Uhhh... well, we were trying to get into Mordor... we're still trying to get into Mordor... but we've picked up Gollum!"

Poor Frodo and Sam.

I noticed after the Fellowship, that a lot of people who had seen the movie but not read the books tended to forget Merry's name. I've heard him referred to as 'the other one', 'Pippin's buddy', 'the fourth hobbit'... heck, all kinds of things. People can remember Pippin, but not Merry. After The Two Towers, I expect that to change, at least a little. Now it will hopefully be 'Pippin and Merry', not 'Pippin and the other one'.

Ah, randomness.

And V... if you haven't seen the second half of the commentary yet... we were right about Legolas being confused! Hah!

I need to go and see The Two Towers again. Hehe. As if I haven't seen it enough... but it is a good movie.
