Apr. 11th, 2003 07:56 amWell... this is it. After all this time... after using the same icon ever since I got a LJ... I've retired Omi.
I've been thinking about this on and off for a while, but it was yesterday when I realized I really *should*. Just... I couldn't read Mina's rant. Not only was I not interested in it, I was actually *repelled* by the idea of reading a rant about the Weiss characters - even with no pairings.
I just don't care any more.
I'll still be reading fanfiction and probably posting little blips on this journal, but I'm no longer serious. And so down Omi goes.
This is a hard time for me, people... the ending of an era. I was attached to that icon.
Well... to make the blow seem less, I've replaced Omi with another blond uke - a very happy-looking Majic, actually. I can only hope he'll serve as faithfully. I suppose we'll see.
To ease my guilt somewhat, I'll add a WK-ish something in this entry. I chose one of my favorite snippets from Kobito's fic "Got Milk" - incidentally one of the most amusing Weiss fics I've read.
'Of course, Aya being Aya, he had to stare off into the distance meaningfully for just one moment longer, then turn around and go to the elevator, his trenchcoat wafting behind him . . . just in case there were any cameras around.'
That's just pure gold. I love Aya.
In other news, I'll be posting part two of Dragon of Twilight as soon as I've finished reading through my Friends. And that, I think, is about it for now.
