silverthunder: (Edward and Alphonse)
Well, I got lucky yesterday, because there was no new lab assignment in Networking. Definitely a good thing - and next week we don't have a lab session because of Remembrance Day. So I get some time off from that class... I know we'll have our final project given to us after that, though.

Something to look forward to, I guess.

I turn in my article summary today... I can't even remember what I put in it. It's very strange to have finished something so early. It doesn't happen too often with me.

Ah well.

I have to have Jane Eyre read for next week. I'm about a third of the way through. If I don't make it, well, I'll probably finish it up over the course of the week as she's talking about it in class.

I reached my goal for yesterday on NaNo - 12,000 words. I'm hoping to have 15,000 by Sunday, and it looks like I might even make it. Woo!

Now, hopefully I can keep this pace up.

Stole this one from [livejournal.com profile] girl_starfish.

If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or NaNoWriMo or what have you, post exactly one sentence from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal. It should probably be your favourite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else. This is merely to wet the general appetite for your forthcoming work(s).

Threads of Fate (my NaNo story):

Somehow, Patrick decided hours later, standing by the side of the road a mile or so outside of Derry with his thumb held up for outgoing traffic, his vacation had turned out extremely weird.

Blurring the Line - from part five:

Brian was aware of Omen watching him with interest from the bed - of Cet staring at him as if he'd announced that he was going to strip naked, paint his body black, and do a line dance.

Game Over (my baby) - from part one:

"Great. Wonderful." I threw my hands in the air. "It's my life's dream. No thank you. I don't want to play a game that involves midget ghost guides and weird computer CDs that know your name and disappear from your CD-ROM drive."

(That was more than one sentence... Oh well, what can you do?)
