Drabble!

Mar. 17th, 2005 01:17 pm
silverthunder: (Sharla - Gaze)
I wrote drabble! Uninhabited Planet Surive Drabble! At least... it was supposed to be drabble. It got long, and spawned a title somehow...

It's also gen, but that's okay. Character study. I had fun messing around with it. Hehe. I linked the story from my GJ, since that's where I post story stuff. If anyone reads it, leave a comment here or there or wherever, and let me know if it's okay. Please?

Also, SPOILER WARNING for episode 43.

Howard, again
silverthunder: (Kaoru - Sexy)
Programs didn't work, even after five or six hours of work on them last night. But that is okay. I'll manage to get through this course somehow. I refuse to waste the effort. Somehow, I will pass the course and do so with a C+ or higher. So hah.

Anyway, since I did that for most of yesterday, I didn't get a hell of a lot else done. I did manage to find time for another episode of Uninhabited Planet Survive before going to bed.

It was a good episode. But now I don't have time to watch the next one. WHAT HAPPENS??? HOWARD AND SHARLA! GAH! WHY? WHY MUST YOU BE SO CRUEL TO ME, FATE? I CAN'T WATCH MORE!!!

Well. Until I get home from class, at least.

I have this idea, too... Ideas! Ideas! They attack with their evil floppy ears and deceptively cute appearance! And then they GNAW on your ankles until you give in and write them!

Damnit, I wish I had time... Ah well.

In other news, I love Kaoru. See icon. Hehe.
silverthunder: (Howard - My fandom is straight. Really.)
So after I did as much as I could on the assignment (although I could've done more on the project, but that's not due until next week), I goofed off as usual for as long as I possibly could. Watched a couple more episodes of Uninhabited Planet Survive.

And made some icons. Like the one I'm using. That episode cracked me up, just because... man. Talk about type-casting.

The next episode brought out a couple of crushes. Two of them aren't really confirmed, I'm just guessing - but they're the ones I would've predicted. The one that IS confirmed totally caught me off-guard. Not really a bad thing, but it was still unexpected.

It looks as though Howard may be the only one *without* a crush of some sort, whether on a person in the show or someone we haven't seen. But, well, he was the one in drag in episode 39, so...

Not commenting. I don't think I really need to.

I'm also not going to say much about the plot just now, because I know [livejournal.com profile] ice_is_blue is still watching. But I think it got weirder. Again.

Ah well.

I read all of the most recent chapters of Death Note, finally. I'm all caught up now! And Spoilers )

Hopefully I can get that assignment working today. Even one little bit of it working would be good - if I hand it in and it partly works, I know I'll get partial marks, because he told us so.

So, I can hope for at least that much. I'll have to talk to him first, though.
silverthunder: (Duo - Heh)
Ran into roadblock on program. Will ask teacher for help tomorrow. At least I made it this far - my mark will not be 0. It might be 1 out of 5, but that is better than 0.

Watched episode 39 of Uninhabited Planet Survive. Am highly, HIGHLY amused.

Also wondering about two things now... Where did the dress come from, and how did it fit so well?

I'm starting to wonder about that guy.

Not that I wasn't before... just more so now.
silverthunder: (Kaoru - Sparkle)
Very possibly a questionable exchange of words.

Howard: All right! I'm on top!
Bell: I think Howard should be on the bottom.
Kaoru: Yes, since he sleeps with bad form.

Crack!OT3! (Kaoru, you'll never sparkle with that kind of attitude)

What Kind of Novel Should I Write?
brought to you by Quizilla

Interesting, hm? Why did I have a feeling it'd be either this one or fantasy?
silverthunder: (Duo - Heh)
My comic got its first email yesterday, and it was to tell us that it's not funny but the art is decent.

Hell, *I* couldn't told you that. I don't like the current comics either.

Ah well. Anyway, she likes Jer's art, so that is cool. I'll have to remember to tell him that when I see him.

I think the end of reading break is what prompted me to suddenly start downloading and/or starting up a whole lot of stuff. It's like... I might have to try and get stuff done now - crap! Gotta find other things to keep busy with!

I'm downloading two new anime series - King of Bandit Jing, which I have never heard of and don't know anything about (I saw a box set at a store once and liked the picture) and Uninhabited Planet Survive, which [livejournal.com profile] herongale recommended to me forever ago and which I've been meaning to get started on since then.

They're still downloading, so I have yet to watch anything of either of them. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow when I should be doing homework.

I also cracked and started reading a certain manga that various people on my Friends list are obsessed with. I figured at least the art would be good, since it was the artist who did Hikaru no Go. I've also been told by just about everyone who reads it that it's goddamn addicting, which I found to be ALL TOO TRUE.

Anyway, for those who don't know, it's called Death Note, and the main character is an arrogant little ass. I like his Shinigami pal, and I like his opponent, but I don't care much for him. I'm kind of hoping everything ends up blowing up in his face, really.

Random philosophy and thoughts )

I had to stop reading last night to go to bed and get enough sleep for school today, but I'll be going back to it now. I want to see what happens next.
silverthunder: (Edward and Alphonse - Sleep sounds good)
So it turns out that it wasn't my speakers that were bad - it was Winamp. Heh. I found that out when I went to watch an episode of Kyou Kara Maou, and it didn't sound fuzzy. Anyway, I re-downloaded Winamp and now all is well.

Good thing we didn't buy new speakers.

I'll have to get my homework for tomorrow done today. I'm also going to have a week to write a play. I thought I might start on that, but it looks like I didn't.

Reading break always ends like this.

Also, anyone who's up for creating the world like I suggested in yesterday's post, if you have any ideas for it, please let me know! We're still brainstorming ideas, so new input is totally welcome.

Especially for names, since it'll be harder to have discussions until I create the community, and I need a name to create the community.

Meh. I should go work on stuff now...
silverthunder: (Winry - Evil plotting in progress)
I need to go price speakers... really I do...

I got this random, fun idea yesterday - figured I'd mention it here in case anyone is interested, although I'm not sure if it'll just be my GreatestJournal friends in on it.

The idea is this: create a world. I mean, it'd be a sort of group thing, we all make suggestions and such. Creating a world is a big job, after all. Even once the world is created, there are probably still details here and there that need to be added in and all.

Anyway, when we've done that, you can write stories set in it. Any stories. Original fiction, fanfiction - whatever you want. You can borrow other characters people create for it (as long as you credit the original author) and use them in your own story if you like. The only rule is that the stories should probably be posted to the community in some way (linked, actually posted there, even just mentioned or something).

It's pretty loose, anyway - just for fun. I thought it'd be interesting.

Heh. Anyway... I hung out with Sarah yesterday, for the first time in a long time. She's very happy right now, which is good. I gave her more Kyou Kara Maou, and we're hanging out again next Friday. Should be fun!

Back to school on Monday... ugh. Reading break always goes by so fast.
silverthunder: (Wufei - Oh yeah)
So Jeremy and I went to see Finding Neverland last night. It was an absolutely brilliant movie - I'm so glad I finally got to see it. Wow. Johnny Depp is an excellent actor, and the movie was beautiful. I haven't seen any of the others that are up, but it'd be nice if this one won best picture.

Jer liked it, too - of course, he went in with no expectations, but still.

I was very impressed.

Other than that, not a lot went on yesterday. This morning, though, I actually did some homework. Enough to make me realize I have no idea how to do what I want with this stupid program. Bleh.

Oh well. Maybe I'll write some haiku and senryu today for my English class. Those won't take long, and they'll be fun.

I probably should work on my play, seeing as how I have less than two weeks to get a rough draft done, but I don't feel like that at the moment, so... yeah.

I'm so lazy. It's always like this during reading break.
silverthunder: (Ken - Um... sure...)
I was reading an old rant that I had saved a link to some time ago, on an issue I have some agreement with. Then I went into some of the comments - and found an interesting point in someone's reply.

The point being: if fans can take a canon het pairing and break it up to form a yaoi pairing... why can't het fans take a canon yaoi pairing and break it up to form a het pairing?

Discussion under here (and yes, I'm biased) )

Thoughts?
silverthunder: (Trowa - Smile)
I watched the last bit of Gundam Seed with Jeremy last night. He hated the ending. I didn't like it much either, so at least we agree. Then we watched two episodes of Fruits Basket, which he was iffy on. We may or may not watch that one.

'Course, we still need to see the rest of RahXephon, so that could be next as well. And Noir, too.

That was pretty much yesterday. Before that, all I did was hang around the house, do some writing, and read fanfiction. I still have yet to do schoolwork. It's on my mind, but I'm not doing it. Heh. Just like every other year.

Tonight I'm going to see Finding Neverland. FINALLY. I can't wait to see it - it looks really good.

Before that, though, hopefully I can get to the library. There is a book waiting for me.
silverthunder: (Touya and Yukito - Serenity)
Well, I had to work yesterday - other than that, it wasn't a bad day. I love spring break.

I did get *something* done for school - I looked up the method I was going to need to use in my program that I couldn't remember. So now I have it. I just have to put it to use.

Heh. Yeah...

I watched Nausicaa of the Valley of the Winds yesterday. It was a cute movie, and a lot like Miyazaki's other works. Very man vs nature, and there were some neat female characters. Actually, most of the male characters were pretty dull - Nausicaa and the other princess were the most interesting. I had to do a double take when she was doing her hang-gliding, though - her tights/pants were too close to skin color. Looked like she was giving everyone below a free show.

But it was a good movie. I enjoyed it.

Other than that, not much happened. It was a nice, slow, boring day. Very nice.
silverthunder: (Wufei - Oh yeah)
I stole my dad's speakers - at his suggestion, actually. They are not much better than ours. He has told me to go out and price some replacement speakers. I will do that some time. Maybe not today, since I have to work later, but I will definitely do it at some point.

Today, I am going to walk up to the video store and see if they have Nausicaa, since Disney was releasing it today. You never know.

And it won't be a wasted trip if they don't have it, since I do have a movie to return there. So... yeah. All good.

I didn't get any schoolwork done yesterday, as predicted, but I did get a nice chunk of writing done, which is a plus. This one's coming right along. I like having a set plan for it. Hopefully I can finish it.

We'll see, I guess.
silverthunder: (Edward and Alphonse - Adopt us)
So today is the first official day of my reading break (seeing as how it's the first day I have off from school) and I intend to sit around. Excellent. I'm vaguely thinking about homework and trying to be noble and get some of that done, but it probably won't happen.

I want to do some reading, and some writing, and some watching of stuff.

Yesterday, I didn't do a lot. I slept in since I was out late the night before, and then had to work a bit later on. Work was actually not that bad. There were no customers from about six o'clock on. It was great.

Quiet nights are the best ones.

Wow... I have nothing to write about here. My life is so boring... heh. I like it that way, though - it means nothing bad is happening.

There's a meme going around where I'd get people to ask one question about my writing... That seems strange to me. I can't think of any questions to ask the people who have it up, so I don't know what anyone would ask me.

What is there to know about a person's writing?
silverthunder: (Edward and Alphonse - Sleep sounds good)
Last night was the last time I got to see V before she left this morning. The week went by so fast! It was crazy... I wish she could've stayed longer. It's always great when she comes home and we can hang out like usual.

And with Jo and Jen, too... since they're usually busy whenever I'm free. But when V's here, we all make time.

Anyway, we watched a movie called 'Before Sunset' last night - the sequel to a movie which we haven't seen, but it was still good. All dialogue, and it was a real-time movie - a very good movie, as it turned out. I enjoyed it. It's not really my kind of movie, but I liked it. V *really* liked it, which was fun. We talked about it for a while afterward.

Then we met Jo and Adam for donuts and hot chocolate, which was also fun. Jo has a very small digital camera now, and she took some pictures of us. Hopefully those can get uploaded some time so I can save them on my computer.

It was a good night. I was tired, because I'd been working before we hung out, but it was still excellent.

And now V's gone... that always makes me sad.
silverthunder: (Duo - Heh)
Fuzzy speakers... argh...

Ah well. The exam went pretty well yesterday - I'm pretty sure I did well. Unless I did everything totally wrong, but I don't think I did.

I went for lunch with V, Jen, and Jo yesterday, which was a lot of fun - it was good to see them all. We're going to try and do the same thing again today before I go to work.

Jo, V, and I went to see Constantine last night as well. I figured it'd be crappy, but it wasn't *too* bad. A bunch of stuff was just kind of convenient plot device without much explanation or development. The female character couldn't do anything for herself, as usual. Catholism is, of course, the only right way and blah blah blah. Other than that, it was decent.

It was fun to hang out with my friends. I came up with Jo and V, and Sarah met us there for a while before the movie. So that was cool. We went to Future Shop, into the mall, and up to Chapters. I found the director's cut of Legend for about $25, so I bought it. I might watch that today, or - if I don't have time - maybe tomorrow.

We'll see. Work tonight, and then hanging out with V again before she has to leave tomorrow.

I can't believe it's been a week already... Time's gone by so fast...
silverthunder: (Jyou - It can't end like this)
Ugh, these speakers are terrible... Bleh.

I'm not as nervous as the icon would imply! I just wanted to use it, seeing as how I have an exam and all today... It seemed appropriate.

Heh. I studied last night, but not much during the day yesterday. I was procrastinating the whole time, pretty much. And we didn't have the computer, so I had to find other things to do to put off studying.

I watched those episodes of Yu Yu Hakusho - it was more or less what I'd expected, but without the slash. Which is no fun at all. I thought this series was supposed to be slashy. Man! I mean, the plot wasn't great, the characters were okay at best, and the animation was kinda crappy.

I did like the design of that one guy, though - red hair and green eyes. I *love* that combination. It's wonderful. And he used a whip. I thought that was amusing - ROSE whip, no less. So terribly gay.

Other than that, I don't think I'll be in a great hurry to acquire more of the series.

I'm not going to do fantastic on this midterm, I don't think - I can't seem to figure out which information I need to keep in my head. I studied all the information in a general sort of way and then looked at old midterms, and studied some more based on that. I'm still not sure, though.

Meh. Oh well. What happens, happens.
silverthunder: (Winry - Evil plotting in progress)
Gotta take the computer back in, so this will be a short entry. I could probably just wait until I get to school and THEN write my entry, but I just don't want to. Heh.

Went out with V last night. It was fun, we chatted - I wish she could stay instead of going back to school. Hopefully she's here for the summer.

Bought a DVD at Blockbuster for $7. Yu Yu Hakusho episodes 75-78. I have yet to see episodes 1 through 74, so I don't know what I'm going to do with these. But it was $7! You can't go wrong there.

Ah well.

I have a question for everyone who is a serious writer on my friends list. If I created a community specifically for posting thoughts, ideas, pieces of writing, and any other writing-relating things in order to get serious, constructive feedback (giving feedback is totally optional, of course), would anyone be interested in joining?

There's probably another community out there like this somewhere... I just wanted to create one so it'd be full of people I know. Heh.
