I think I went to bed way too late last night. Gotta work this morning, so I can't sleep in. Damn it...

Oh well. I'm a moron. Nothing new there.

I managed to accomplish nothing yesterday. All I did was kick around and read and watch anime I've already seen until I had to go to work. It was a fun, fun day.

I mean that seriously, too. I love doing nothing.

I did write down my opinions for various pairings on FMA... but I don't think I'll be sharing. It was basically just to get my thoughts in writing so they'd stop bothering me. I'm not going to invite argument or agreement here.

Maybe it's just because I'm lazy.

Oh well.

I don't have to work Monday any more! I guess I shouldn't be happy about the lost hours, but I have enough money without them, and Haleigh didn't have a shift on the schedule at all. So I let her have Monday.

Excellent.

Now I just have today and tomorrow to get through, and then I have four days off.

Happiness!

I've just about got thirty episodes of FMA on tape... Getting close to where I left off with watching. I figure I'll watch as they tape - it makes sense, really.

I'm looking forward to more, though...

In other news, it looks like there's a problem with our computer - it seems to be quite slow at times for no good reason. We'll be taking it in on Monday, so I'll be without internet for a little while.

Annoying... oh well, though.
silverthunder: (Default)
I haven't watched any new episodes of FMA yet since I am taping them because my DVDs tend not to work a lot of the time. For whatever reason, they work best in the morning so that's when I either watch new episodes or tape a few.

Right now, I'm taping. When my taping's all caught up, then I'll watch the ones I have yet to see.

It's a plan.

I work tonight. I despise work. I also have to work for the rest of the weekend and Monday. Evilness. It'll probably be disgustingly hot all weekend, too.

I'm tired and cranky right now. Our computer is being slow and refuses to open any link that needs to display in a new window. I think we might have a virus or something.

Ugh.
silverthunder: (Default)
Meh... I didn't sleep enough last night, but that's because I decided to stay up late and there's always activity in this house in the morning.

Oh well. Taping more episodes of FMA.

Speaking of FMA, I have a new default icon, which might have been kind of obvious but I feel the need to point it out anyway. I've retired Daisuke, and Edward has taken his place.

I rather like this icon, though. It used to be my default at GreatestJournal - I've changed the default over there, too. All of my defaults are FMA, though.

In other news, this song is starting to annoy me. The ending sequence that goes with it has forever associated it with Winry, and that's just no fun at all.

Damnit...

I've also read through my three volumes of Tamers manga, which was decent. Like the first two seasons, this was basically just a condensed version of the same story in the TV show. Juri wasn't even introduced at all until near the end of the second volume.

And how teaching her to slash a card became a *girl thing*, I have no idea. Takato and Jenrya are insane.

Oh well.
silverthunder: (Default)
Man, I almost forgot how goofy the first episode of Digimon is... That brings back memories. It was nice to see it again, without all the dub one-liners and such.

Fun stuff. I'm looking forward to more episodes now.

Surprisingly, volume one of Tamers didn't arrive yesterday, so I'm still waiting on that - but it's okay, since I had other things to do with my morning. And of course work in the evening, which wasn't too bad.

Two days off now!

I also got in episode 33 of FMA, which was good. Mwaha. Greed. I want to see the fight between Greed and Ed animated... They sort of started on it, but didn't finish it. Hopefully next episode. It'll be different from in the manga, but I'm sure it'll be awesome.

I'm just glad Wrath is gone for now. Annoying little thing...

Ah well. I really like Izumi, too. This is the second time I've seen the instructor reading a book while successfully fending off his or her trainees' attacks. (the first was in Naruto) She is awesome, though. I find myself hoping she'll be in the anime more, even though I get the feeling she won't.

Too bad... I don't have many anime females I like.

Oh well.

Okay, so fans of Digimon should check out Wolf Pack Productions if they want to download the first episode of Digimon Adventure, which was released today.

I am happy. Muchly. Mine's downloading right now, and I can't wait to actually watch it.

So, probably soon I'll have Digimon Tamers manga to read and Digimon Adventure anime to watch. Lovely. It's going to be a very nice day.

Until I get to work. Bleh.

Oh well... Work is only five hours of torture. And then I'll be back home for a nice two-day break.

And then four days of work.

But that's a ways off yet, so I won't worry about it.

It also is starting to look like the third chapter of Game Over might be a couple of pages shorter than the other two if I want to end it where I had planned to. I don't intend to change my plans, but sometimes it takes more space than I would have thought it might to write something.

So we'll see what happens.
silverthunder: (Default)
It is quite warm out. Yesterday was actually pretty decent as far as temperature went - which is good, because I was at work - but today is hot.

Ah well... it's summer.

I managed to break one of the ceiling grates at work while attempting to dust it. The thing snapped in half and fell on me. I escaped with just a small scrape, but unfortunately I was standing beside the fan. It survived and worked okay, but the front plating broke off and I didn't know how to put it back on.

Yeeks.

In other news, my Digimon Tamers manga is here! I ordered it on either Wednesday or Thursday last week with the gift card my grandmother gave me for Chapters - that's pretty quick shipping. Actually, for some reason, they shipped volumes two and three before they shipped volume one. So I have two and three so far.

Still excellent, though. I'll read them all when volume one gets here.

I've watched up to episode thirty-two of FMA. Greed! Back into manga territory, I see... I dislike Wrath - who as far as I know wasn't in the manga, at least not in the same form - but Greed is kinda neat.

I also discovered a little while ago that Envy has the same seiyuu who does Jenrya from Tamers. No wonder it sounded slightly familiar at times...
silverthunder: (Default)
Well, yesterday was more or less boring. I've watched up to episode 30 of FMA now... I was totally not expecting the stuff with that kid - Wrath, right? Annoying little thing...

Ah well.

Got a few pages done in Game Over... Man, is that coming slowly. Bleh. This illusion is giving me some trouble. But I'll get through it - I'm at least halfway there now. It looks like chapter three might be a couple of pages shorter than the other two.

Eh, no big deal.

I work today, which sucks. It's Sunday, so I won't be as swamped as I would on a weekday. And I have Monday off, so it's all okay.
silverthunder: (Default)
I watched another couple of FMA episodes... So now I'm watching the stuff with the third opening theme - which I like very much. Not as much as the fourth, but more so than the first and second.

Interesting how that works.

The new ending theme is NOT good, though. Bleh. Who wants to watch two minutes of footage of WINRY? I don't CARE about Winry! This isn't the first time I've seen a pointless ending theme that just focusses on a female character (Gundam Wing and Sorcerous Stabber Orphen spring immediately to mind) but for crying out loud, Winry's not even a very big part of the story! Can't we at least have Ed and Al in there? They're the main characters!

I guess it's no big deal, but still. Annoying.

There was an anime club meeting yesterday, but we did mostly a discussion meeting again, watching a few anime afterward. I managed to get them to put on the first episode of FMA, which went over very well.

So, probably next meeting, we'll watch episode two. Excellent.
silverthunder: (Default)
Work sucked last night. Evil place. Ross was doing repairs, so the boiler had to be on and it was baking in there. I seriously had sweat plastering my shirt to my body. It was really gross.

Ah well. It's over.

Anime club meeting today! I'm bringing my FMA DVDs in hopes that we might watch an episode. It's unlikely, but you never know.

Speaking of FMA... volume seven of the manga is scanlated! I downloaded and read that last night. I actually rather like Greed. Haven't seen much of him in the anime yet.

I suspect that will change, though.

I also caved and watched the fourth opening sequence on the episodes I've downloaded to watch after I finish with my DVDs. I like it very much. Awesome-ness, I say.
silverthunder: (Default)
You know, they should've made Ken an image song for before and after he was evil. Then he'd have two. Not that I don't like this one, but then I'd have another one in addition to it.

I just like listening to Paku Romi sing and sound kind of evil right now, just because. You know. The fact that she does a voice in FMA as well and not an evil one.

Unless Ed somehow turns evil... I think that would massively screw things up, though.

So far, the anime is still loosely following manga canon. Going in the same basic direction, that is. I'm wondering when they're going to split and go their separate ways. I haven't seen all of the manga yet, so I might not find out at all.

Ah well.
silverthunder: (Default)
Well, I've read through all of my new manga volumes... lovely stuff, that. All of it was very good. And I've watched up to episode 17 of Fullmetal Alchemist. It was kind of interesting to see a tiny bit of background on Roy. I didn't read spoilers or anything, but I kind of had the feeling that he was involved with that...

Ah, anyway. They changed the scenes with Scar from the manga, but it was interesting. I think I possibly prefer the manga version, but the anime version was awesome too.

So, about time to land Ed in the hospital? In a few episodes, no doubt...

I also got a card in the mail from my grandmother. It included a $100 gift card for Chapters. Excellent! I plan to order the first three Tamers manga if they have them available.

Hung out with Jo and V last night, which was fun. We walked up to the 7-11 and then talked through the Today show at V's house.

Nice way to spend an evening. At least, I think so.
silverthunder: (Default)
Well, yesterday was pretty fantastic... I had a fabulous birthday - if only because nothing could've ruined it after I got the Les Miserables tickets from my parents.

My Fullmetal Alchemist DVDs arrived in the mail yesterday as well... just in time for my birthday, which is perfect. They're not the greatest - some episodes skip - but I can generally get them working long enough to watch an episode or two at a time undisturbed, and that's perfectly good enough for me.

Episodes one through forty, all for me!

I went out for dinner with my friends and boyfriend last night, and received lots of manga. I am very happy with that. Volume two of D.N.Angel, volume two of Gravitation, volume one of Clamp Campus Detectives, and one that I already had but will exchange for volume one of Tokyo Babylon.

An excellent haul, really.

I also got a new pen and a mini book on palm reading. Now I won't ever have to pay $15 to get mine read! (Not that I would've anyway, but still) Thanks, V!

So last night we hung out at V's house and watched Fullmetal Alchemist and the Today show. And then some random channel surfing. It was a very enjoyable evening.

I also watched episodes thirteen and fourteen of Fullmetal Alchemist this morning. Thirteen was AWESOME. Roy is such a dork. I love how the miniskirt fetish made its way into the anime as well. And poor Ed... but at least he didn't get roasted and carted out on a stretcher like he did in the manga.

Funny, funny stuff. I love it.
silverthunder: (Default)
I forgot to mention this in the first entry... and since I didn't update until now, I figured I'd just make another post.

I'd wait until tomorrow, but there are a couple of people on my friends list who mentioned that they would like to know as soon as I updated, so... here.

Chapter two of Game Over is up at FictionPress.

Enjoy! And let me know what you think. Bad or good.

On a side note, I am at peace with the postal system again. Life is good.

Birthday!

It is August the 9th and I am 22 years old today.

Hooray!

I intend to celebrate with my friends tonight, so last night I had a small family celebration. My parents gave me a gift and took me and one of my sisters (the only one who could go) out for dinner. Pizza and cheesecake, yummy.

I got some new clothing from my parents... and...

A ticket to go see Les Miserable in Vancouver!

There are a few people who will know how exciting this is for me. I was ecstatic. No matter what now, it's been a good birthday. I am incredibly happy. I also can't wait for November 13th now, since that's when the ticket is for.

Yay yay yay!

Oh, also, according to the newspaper, it is also Eric Bana's birthday today. That is kinda neat.
silverthunder: (Default)
Well, yesterday wasn't the greatest...

First of all, work sucked. That happens a lot. It was just one thing after another, really. The drycleaning machine was leaking again, this time from a different place. So I had soapy water on the floor and no idea where it was coming from. Then I had to clean the lint screen on the big dryer, which turned out to be full of feathers. Feathers are EVIL. They get everywhere. It was not fun cleaning them up.

Thankfully, the laundromat quieted down after about 7:30, and I got everything done on time.

I'm also reading a nice original story that is starting to get a little bit annoying. There's one plot element I feel is being overused. I'm starting to lose interest in some of the characters, and one romantic situation was handled in a way I didn't like.

Oh well...

I forgot to mention yesterday that Friday was an anime club meeting. So we watched Naruto, Get Backers, D.N.Angel and Sailor Moon. The rest of the meeting was discussion, which was a lot of fun.

Episode 12 of Digimon 02 is up, so I downloaded that and watched it. Not bad. My favorite part was Daisuke and Iori tied up in the jail. Amused me greatly.

I also downloaded episodes 11 and 12 of Fullmetal Alchemist, and have watched episode 11. I'll probably watch episode 12 when I get home from work this afternoon.

Should be fun.
silverthunder: (Default)
The weather's gone strange again. It was so hot earlier this week... now it's raining and cold. It's a real relief, actually. I'm *cold*! Yay!

Heh. Anyway.

I hate waiting for things in the mail. It makes me antsy and I have a hard time getting things done. Which might explain why Game Over is creeping along at barely a crawl. Bah.

Hopefully they'll be here on Monday. In any case, I'm hoping to post chapter two of Game Over then.

I'm hoping for a few things on Monday. But that's understandable.

Almost August 9th already... I can't believe summer's gone by so fast. Ugh. And soon I'll be back to *school*. Evil.

Ah well.
silverthunder: (Default)
I have no more FMA to watch... I am sad. It's been a few days now. But hopefully I'll get the rest of the episodes that are out soon... hopefully.

I'm still sad, though.

In better news, I'm seven pages into part three of Game Over. I managed to get through everything I basically wanted to have happen during Shane's school day... I think it's time to move on to finding Links.

I was also talking to Jer last night about it. He read chapter one and really liked it, which I am happy about. So I was bouncing ideas off of him. It worked out pretty well.

I really love this story. I want to do well with it.

I guess that's obvious, though.
silverthunder: (Default)
I have two days off now. It's glorious.

Last night at work wasn't as bad as Tuesday night. But I feel much better now that it's over. Evil work.

Anyway, yesterday I managed to get some writing done. I'm about five pages into the third part of Game Over. Considering how long each part seems to be, that means I've probably got about fifteen pages to go.

The title of part three is going to depend on how long it takes to get Shane through his first illusion.

I also added a scene I hadn't planned to add... but it accomplishes several purposes. Even if it seems pointless to most people. Romantic tension, mostly, but also helpful when Zinc figures out Coal is an active Guide as well...

So many plans... so little time left in the summer to write this at my leisure.
silverthunder: (Default)
Work was very annoying last night. I had four bachelor services to do - nine loads total. Stupid morning people. Do they have no concept of how long it takes us to do laundry *and* our usual evening cleaning? I was rushing around most of the night and ended up going home exhausted.

And I work again tonight. Ick.

Oh well...

I watched episode ten of FMA yesterday. I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to think of it. Psiren was... interesting. It amused me that Al was willing to take her word despite the evidence against her and Ed was more like "She's lying, you idiot."

Could she not also get arrested for offering him sexual favors as a thank you for saving her? He's fifteen...

Then again, the threat of being arrested probably wouldn't bother her. But still.

Maybe I just misinterpreted that.
